The first game was on a Thursday at 5:30PM and this week’s game is at 12:30PM on a Saturday. That makes the first two home games a bit of a tailgate bust in terms of time and convenience. The good thing is the game won’t be so late that my 8 year old can’t stay awake and has to go home early.

Going for it on 4th and 2 was a tactical error. Should have taken the easy 3 and tied the game. Instead we gave them momentum which they then took down and scored. Should have been 10-10 instead we’re down 9.

Hmm. Well after an hour or so of disabling the regular home page, I’m not seeing a huge difference in performance. I’ll let this setup stay into tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks for your patience.

This makes me think that it could be all the new APP users hitting the database which is causing the server resource drain.

I should mention that any of these (hopefully) temporary changes I’m making are on the web only. No changes on the mobile app.

I’ve just changed the home page to a forum view of the latest topics, which is much less heavy in terms of resources (and less pleasurable to look at). I’m going to do this as a test to see if the performance issues are improved.
