Calhoun had the ball in his hands in that last 2 minutes of the y game and probably would have had it. And won the game. Ugh

I think every team should study how they are doing it at Pitt. You get possibilities (maybe some baseline assurance) but not paid until the end of the season. At least that’s how I understand it. Keeps you hungry. Not totally incentive based, but does ensure those that should contribute, contribute and surprises get a piece as well.

who knows. For me, it’s hard to distinguish between valuation and what they might actually be getting

DataUte replied to the topic New to Utehub and hopeful vs Colorado in the forum Football 1 day, 14 hours ago
I am hopeful because of our D. But Shadeur escapes the pocket on basically every play (he didn’t play last year – Hunter still had >100 yds receiving). Agree that our hope is for TOs.
Last year, Bottari was 6/10 for 61 yds. Glover had 107 rushing (gone), Vaki 68 (gone), Jackson 68 (gone), Money 18 (out). If Wilson is out (injury? mono?), the…[Read more]

holy crap, we can’t have, get, keep any qb healthy. So crazy, all you can do is cry. Hopefully he didn’t get mono from a cougar (and I’m not talking about the parochial school).

I think it was Saban that was saying it is really hard to find OL now. With so many skill position camps, players are getting trained on that, so you have to recruit someone by their frame (and for him, they had to play basketball) and then you had to get them in, put 40-50 pounds on them and see how they handle it. So it was a little bit of a…[Read more]

DataUte replied to the topic Details about Rose's injury makes me even more disappointed in our coaching staff in the forum Football 2 days, 15 hours ago
Explains why all the sudden Rose’s good runs disappeared and he didn’t even try. Those were eating up some significant yards.

DataUte replied to the topic What The Rest of the Nation Thinks of BYU in the forum Football 3 days, 11 hours ago
I think KU has a shot. One hard part is they are in Provo. But Jalon Daniels (dual threat QB) and Devin Neal (RB) are healthy and tore up Iowa St. At 3-6, they are hungry to win their last 3 (@ BYU, v CU, @ Baylor).
@ ASU ain’t easy either. They will have something to prove and their coach has them in a good place. They are still in the running…[Read more]

DataUte replied to the topic Interesting Rumor I Just Heard in the forum Football 3 days, 11 hours ago
If Shadeur is still there that deep. Most have him going as the top QB, then Ward. I know they’ve talked about pulling an Eli/Elway and saying he won’t play for certain teams (If I were them, JETS, Panthers, Bears are all qb killers). But he will not get to the Cowboys (probably in 5-10 range).

Deion said something similar – ‘at CU, they don’t need to be friends. What is chemistry? Everyone does their job and is held accountable.’ I think ‘chemistry’ can help – we saw improvement just seeing Rising back on the field after Brewer got pulled and the team just played harder for him.

Just to clarify, what is ‘that group’, ‘bad group that does bad things’?
– Mormons
– Believers of the religion
– BYU fans which mostly profess to be one of the above (‘byu fan base’ mentioned in Kellso post) -

Yep. Sometimes people only hear the first part of the sentence. This is not a meritocracy/charity letting just ANY 5 conferences in. It’s still P4 tilted (with a bone thrown to 1 G5 team – usually) and the SEC and B1G filling most of the at large spots.
I could see a one-loss or even two-loss (CU) Big 12 team being the only representative with…[Read more]

I read his lips:
Hey, great game. Guts. Way to stay in there. We are down to some short 5th stringer and a freshman playing like he’s on the JETS. Want to come play and have a great defense behind you? Think about it.
kidding. flame away.

That is why a fall break trip last year centered around getting to LA for likely the last in a looooong time game there. Me and my son went and it’s a priceless memory.
