This was the argument IF he played this year. But he is now eligible for another medical redshirt, so he would get another year based on that (not this other legal stuff which was mostly a maybe). He’d be like the Miami player that is in his 8th year (due to 3 season ending injuries while not playing enough for the year to be ‘booked’).

Huard has said he is the best practice squad qb in the nation (a little in jest) – he knows his role and I hope he gets a chance.

And it’s not like we see anything that surprises us. Stanley is in it’s 1 of 2 plays. Mitchell is in, it’s a run up the middle.

I feel like the defense has been a little more disappointing than the offense. With change of QB on offense, opposing defenses have made it harder and forced Isaac to beat them and he’s just not quite there yet. However, our TOP is pretty good, so the defense should be fresh and flying around the field.

It wasn’t really timed for damage. More like, I’m playing well, give me more money or the timing coincides with me being able to redshirt (he has a degree) and play another year somewhere else for more $.

QB2s shouldn’t redshirt, even if Freshman. He’s played in 12 full quarters + 2 partials (end of 2Q). Cam has played 2 full quarters and 2 partial quarters (most of 2 2Q). We need them both. Rose apparently must be slow if he can’t pick up the playbook in 2 years. Huard is new, so he gets a pass as he claims to be the best practice team qb in the nation.

Plus, we have played 1/4 of the season, with our starting QB playing 1/4-1/3 of that. Wilson has played 8+ quarters, so passing has not been so hot so far.

You’ll love it when he’s here in 2 years after seeing Isaac tear it up next year and being disenchanted with the USC alure and not being used well (see Dorian Singer).

See him in 2 years when he’s unhappy with playing time and he sees Isaac tearing it up.

I’ve lived in 100 degree heat, both humid and dry. I didn’t stay outside that long very often. It took resting through tv timeouts, quarters, halftime to raise the extra effort to keep cheering loudly. I would love to go back to the world where Utah plays USC, Oregon, et al. and your guys are going against Texas and that team south of OKC. But that’s not the current world so I’m happy to watch the Utes go against a bunch of quality teams (mostly) in the central time zone.
