A couple weeks ago mdute invited us to join heartland’ s message board. In that short time we’ve already changed a bunch of perspectives.

And it’s only a matter of time until they all hate BYU fans.

I’ve generally believed this to be the case since the Pac fell apart last year. I’m pretty confident Utah will end up it the top tier regardless of what it looks like.

Yep, I agree generally about Stanford. But Stanford has some MAJOR headwinds they need to navigate. The biggest being the transfer portal. I disagree, simply because Utah is one of the best teams in the conference and they’ll be picked more often than not.

Also, the fact that none of our games will be on the P12 Network is a big positive.

While Cougarboard is a cesspool of irrationality generally, I also don’t think you guys should shy away about acknowledging what great progress is being made in your basketball program and being excited about it and having high expectations. Everything I’ve heard is that the kid is a big Ute fan and Hans would prefer him at the U. That’s all just pontification from internet guy, but it’s what I’ve heard. The folks on Cougarboard are convinced that he’s not going to land at BYU and will end up at the U as it’s the kid’s dream school.

I’m with you on pump up intro song and lighting, but definitely not Seven Nation Army. Great song, but so over done by every school everywhere. We can find something more unique. Like maybe the opening to the sing Blind by Korn or Bro Hymn by Pennywise.

I’m 100% against this. Private equity are a bunch of snakes who squeeze every last dime out of anything they touch. Sure, they can make companies more profitable, but most of that profit goes right into their pockets.

I pretty meh on the Braves now. I’m a die hard Giants fan with the Padres being my #2 and the Orioles are my AL team (but I’ll adopt the Salt Lake team as my AL team when that eventually happens – but I’ll always be Giants #1).

That said, I have no ill will towards the Braves whatsoever. (unlike the Dodgers that I hope die a slow and painful death).

Agree completely. It’s strange how Big-12 fans are so butt hurt over this simple emotion that we Ute fans feel.

Even BYU fans would be more excited playing Oregon, Washington and USC than they are playing Iowa State, Texas Tech, and Kansas.

As a kid (when I lived in Utah pre-teenage years:

NFL: Redskins & Dolphins
MLB: Braves (Thanks TBS!)
NBA: Jazz
CFB/CBB: Utes

Those latter two are still in place, though I’m pretty meh on the NBA.
