I’m so tired of Ute fans complaining about the BYU game. It is so effing stupid to want to cancel that game permanently. You are as bad as the morons on Cougarboard.

I’d say it’s because anything can happen in rivalry games, the games have consistently been very close, and the game is in Provo.

Oh man, my hopes are getting up there. It’s a struggle to keep my expectations low.

I don’t think there is much of a question that on paper, this is Utah’s best and most talented team ever. The diffference simply is Pac-12 competition vs MWC competition.

We need the Marriott’s or Huntsman’s to take on their own Phil Knight mantle.

We may fall back a step next season, but this season could also change our long-term fortunes. What are you talking about? We have taken a step to the next level. Last year we made the P12 Champ game for the first time and this year we should again and we will likely be Top-15 pre-season this year. I swear, some Utah fans are as annoyingly pessimistic as some BYU fans are annoyingly optimistic.

Wow, he seems to tend to underrate Utah in the past. 8 seems awful high. Maybe he knows something I don’t.

I do, don’t listen to the idiots that want us to get rid of playing BYU but want us to schedule a random MWC team instead. BYU is a great game every year. It is a better game than most any other G5 team, and rivalry is what CFB is all about and it’s one of the very few games that may actually get some attention beyond our Ute world.

Who cares where he’s from. Stanford, USC, Bama, Washington, Clemson, UCLA, etc etc are all more attractive and/or more historic programs. Besides we shouldn’t be shocked when a kid who grows up in Utah wants to experience life in a different place.

Glad we are getting more depth for the OL, but I am a little underwhelmed as he wasn’t a regular start at Marshall. It’d be one thing if he got no playing time at Bama or something, but…

Yup, he just was never able to put it all together. It was surprising.

Considering how dominant Utah has been in Special Teams the last decade, how brutal would it be to have our best team not reach their potential because we have mediocre special teams?
