I think Whitt is being completely honest here, but I also can’t help but think the committee, style points, and eye test sits there in the back of every coach’s mind and percolates (sometimes subconsciously) and affects decisions.

I don’t think we will. I think as time goes on, as the gap widens, we’ll see BYU developing more competitive rivalries with Boise State and Utah State and Utah with CU and ASU. I think we may get to a point where our “B” game each season is either BYU or Utah State.

TBF, they have improved much as the season improved. They did just beat 4th ranked Penn State too and that is a far better win than anything out Utes have.

What are you so bent out of shape over? They are undefeated and just beat Penn State. It’s fine and it will all work out. They will lose one of these next couple games and will lose to OSU in the CG.

Note that Tennessee is still in the running for the SEC East. Teams improve over the season, doesn’t mean they are good, just that they are improved.
