Meh, that’s minor in the scheme of things. Though it does suck.

Welcome! This is one of the games I’ve been looking forward to this season. Happy for ISU’s success so far this year and you’re fans seem pretty chill. Hope you hang out here with us more.

It’s crazy wanting him fired for this. You don’t fire or force a guy out because he has one awful coaching season. The man built Utah football into new heights it’s never seen before. Turned the school from a basketball school to a football school. Now all the sudden he has one awful season and you all want him fired. It’s idiocy. He’s earned and…[Read more]

So I’m a director at my company, I have a bunch of people that work for me. Do you think I fire my staff at the first major down stretch of their career? Or do I as a manager provide them direction, guidance, and give them the chance to right the ship.
Whit has 20 years of incredible success and leading Utah to new heights that we’ve never…[Read more]

No, it’s not a fact. This is what? Whit’s 20th’ year at the helm and it’s the 1st one where he’s failed. Last year sucked, but considering we were playing with 1/2 a team, it was arguably his most impressive coaching season as we still had a solid record.
Maybe give Whit a chance to turn it around if he wants to. He deserves the benefit of the…[Read more]

No, I’m not shocked about the direction of the program. Learn to read and comprehend what is written.
I’m shocked at how quickly you have turned on Whit and want him out. He delivered 20 years of greatness and now after two rough years – the 1st of which – mind you – we still won 8 games with 1/3 of a team – last season was arguably Whit’s most…[Read more]

It shocks me how quickly the fan base has turned on Whit. What a bunch of fickle, petty people.

Regarding Singer getting open, after seeing Vele’s success in the NFL I’m convinced it’s scheme. All the years he was there he and the other receivers weren’t getting open and I just figured they were mediocre and couldn’t get space. Yet, here Devaughn is playing at a high-level in the NFL.

AlohaUte replied to the topic Here's a coug wishing Utah the best in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Usually, most years, I feel the same way about BYU. But man, that Holy War game this year really soured me. Also, I probably lurk too often on Cougarboard that I’m praying BYU loses one more and doesn’t make the playoff. I don’t know if I can handle the incessant annoying fans.
That said, I am generally ok with BYU, it was easy when we weren’t…[Read more]

Man, Glover. Just never lived up to the potential. And I think you are right about Q. I like the man, a great Ute. But the RB position is struggling. Bernard is awesome, but that’s it. Mitchell can’t hit the hole and I have no idea about why the others struggling.
I suspect the whole offensive coaching staff will look different season, even if…[Read more]

Let’s not forget that this is football and it’s violent and players are bigger, stronger, and faster than they have ever been.

I don’t understand, what does Under Armor have to do with what kind of turf we have? Or are those two separate thoughts combined into one short comment?

AlohaUte replied to the topic I'm Not From Utah or LDS in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago
There are also some, not many, but some who are not LDS but for whom the honor code or at least a moral standard of living is important. There are many Christians and Muslims in particular who don’t want to party, drink, and have sex. BYU can make that easier.

If one is LDS it has appeal. Believe it or not, people actually do believe in their religion, even young people.

Look, I know it’s fun to be playing at the highest levels of CFB and we all seem to want to get into the B1G or SEC and compete there, but honestly, I’m losing interest in it. And this started a few years ago. I watch way less CFB than the past. I don’t want mini-NFL. I want tradition, regional games, pageantry, and rivalry (and yes, I’m stoked to…[Read more]
