Seems like the Pac 12 refs wanted to keep everybody in their place. They seemed a little too ingrained in the heirarchy.

I have been recently re-watching games from the last couple of years and I am starting to realize what good players are coming back. Huge production from Rising, Kuithe and Bernard. I am not sure what kind of athleticism they will bring but the decisions and football brains as well as leadership will be huge.

I agree with Vaki getting alot of looks from Utahs offense as well as attention from their defense. I’m hoping he gets plenty of opportunities but also opening up the throws to Parks, Vele, and King. We need those guys catching the ball so the running game will work. I was impressed with Barnes improvement over the last little bit. A little game planning, some tools for success and winning streak extended!! Also comparing Utahs defense this year to last year from last years Youtube videos its starkly apparent how much quicker they are now. Very aggressive and much better tackling. I think the D is gonna surprize Nix. Go Utes!!

Along the same lines. I seem to remember doing a “tomahawk chop” either as a prelude to Utah Man or at certain intervals with a certain musical lead. Would have been early 90’s something like that. Am I miss-remembering this happening? Anyone have any memories.

What we won’t have when CR comes back is his aggressive keepers and playmaking abilities running occasionally. What makes that work is his RPO and passes to all receivers including tight ends. So just don’t run Cam. The beavers know who he is but
if he trots out Friday they will have to cover all the bases whether he runs or not. In my opinion we don’t get that with Johnson (yet) and if Cams a little more accurate, spreads the ball around a little bit more I think offense will click a lot better. There must be some optimism in the coaches that Cam will return shortly so they’re preparing for that. We need wins right now and with the schedule ramping up competition wise this could work out very well if we can just beat the beavers Friday. I’m actually glad they are looking at it week by week. -

I think Williams is already hurt. He was limping around last night, grabbing his leg and had the same gait pattern he had when we smacked around for three quarters last December. That type of injury will linger with his style of play and with games at Colorado (Arizona at home no big deal) and at Notre Dame I am hoping that they will have used up all their luck and will have settled into the predicablity we have seen before. As good as he is, Utah can contain him, sustain coverage and that game very winnable in the Coliseum. Need some offense.

I agree Miami, I think USC has been exposed. Williams, although very good, hes pretty predictable. I think O’Toole will have a huge game. He probably has Williams’ little spin move still playing in his head after the Championship game. 4 victories in a row would be awesome.

My daughter went with me to the ’08 OSU game on her 7th birthday. She loved and fed off the energy in the North end zone and when everyone would stand she would get up as fast as she could to jump and scream! I can still hear her scratchy little voice after the game all these years later! Go Utes!!
