Seems like he’s hardly touched the ball this season. I haven’t decided how to read into that. He had a touch last week and a nice catch yesterday (that I remember). He ran around ISU’s whole team until he got caught up with that fumble. He still looked pretty shifty, but yeah maybe that quick explosion he usually has out of a pivot is a step…[Read more]

alUmnUs replied to the topic Thoughts on Lisk being the backup QB in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
KW talked about it in the post-game. Said Lisk earned the back up spot based on performance during the week and that nobody gets a free pass based on past experience. The rule is perform well to play and the expectation is always to compete for your spot.
Coach also said Lisk has become an excellent QB. -
alUmnUs replied to the topic USC’s momentary surge(?) aside, UW game seems more winnable now. in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
Kind of a strange take if you didn’t watch the game.
I think the 4 teams predicated on defense in the PAC12 are UW, Cal, Stanford and Utah. Cal’s identity is building under Wilcox. Cal is good. Their secondary is no joke and they will be a huge test for Utah, as will UW. I expect slugfests in both games.

#PAC12AFTERDARK didn’t disappoint (unless you checked in on OSU’s game on Facebook lol).

Game on! PAC 12 had a good day and is starting to look top heavy. All these other teams are worried about Utah too. This season is going to take us on a roller coaster.

SC receiving corps putting Stanford D right where they want them….Stanford not able to get any pressure on Slovis as a result.

alUmnUs replied to the topic I heard on the radio, that NIU has not allowed 100 yards rushing in 15 games in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
That is not a true statistic. While NIU was good against the run last season, they gave up +100 yards on the ground in 7 games. Iowa rushed for a season high 209. Utah only gained 68 yards on the ground in last season’s game.
The correct stat could be that NIU hasn’t allowed a single +100yd rusher in however many games.
Utah passing game wasn’t…[Read more]

Here’s a good take from Wilner that I think helps to explain the hedge betting P12 presidents have done (as evidenced by their recent approval of Scott’s contract extension and raise).
I’ll admit, I can fathom potential upside to the strategic vision Scott has been pitching the presidents, but the faith being placed in him by the presidents seems…[Read more]

Gotta be honest, when I heard our starter was going to be a left-footed kicker from UCLA, I had many many doubts.

Utes smacked that Cooger booty last night!! Utah be like: we’re going to run over you on both sides of the ball and there’s nothing you can do about it.
I really like the game Ludwig called. Despite some 1st half hiccups w/ the O and a pretty vanilla strategy, I saw more diversity in the scheme than I’ve seen in years – it will pay off. If Tyler…[Read more] -
