I feel like Whitt would retire or step down and thr finances wouldn’t be an issue really. That’s the least of my concerns with the program.

Yeah. He’s definitely feeling all this. And he’s as stoic as they come.

Am I wrong in thinking him saying “Everything’s up in the air right now. Everything’s up for evaluation, and we will evaluate.” is very un-Whitt like? And those comments coupled with “Very proud of the defense, with absolutely no help, they held their own.” I usually think think things will stay status quo with our program but it feels differe…[Read more]

the exodus of offensive players, whether it’s current, signed recruits or future recruits will be massive. Even defensive guys. They sounded so down last night talking about they know they must keep the score down because of how little our O produces. Anyway I know he’s tied to Whitt. And why would I expect proactive changes. But here’s hoping.

Anfernee replied to the topic NIL has killed Whittinghams formula for success and niche. in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Yeah it’s so glaring to everyone (listen to Kuithe post game comments) this is a coaching issue. Blaming it on NIL is incorrect. This is a very talented group of pass catchers. But it doesn’t matter.

Virginia bball coach just retired (younger than Whitt) and said he’s not the right guy to lead a team in this new structure. There’s more parity right now in college football than ever. So we need someone who can navigate and take advantage of what is there. Whether we like this new CFB or not. It’s not going back.

Anfernee replied to the topic Interesting postgame comments in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
12 points a game, 3 game losing streak where anemic wouldn’t describe the offense, zero adjustments even after a bye and defensive players now openly saying the know they must contain the other offense because they know the offense won’t score enough? Oh wait. That’s now.

Zero evidence that any changes will be made. Look at the last 3 games. It’s maddening because even the players are saying it. But I hope the AD and HC realize fans are reaching the point of apathy. In sports you want passion from your fans. Angry or ecstatic. When it reaches the apathetic level, that’s a very bad sign of where a program is…[Read more]

Three total touchdowns in the last three games. 12 point average over those. Defense tired of another year where they hold opponent to 13 and still lose.

They So Poo Poo U won 5 games last year and ended season on a 5 game losing streak. Bring back the exact same team and are on the cusp of being top 10. It’s why college football is sacred to America. Anything can happen.

Anfernee replied to the topic Reid and O'Toole injury update? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Let’s not do this to ourselves anymore. Because no matter the answer we get, we still don’t know. The Whittlight Zone has fried our brains when it comes to injuries. Whoever runs out Saturday is who’s playing.

Let’s even take NIL out of the discussion. Why would a 4☆ of any position on offense see this product on a weekly basis, the way the coaches don’t make adjustments or don’t seem to learn from mistakes (even after a damn bye week) plus the energy around the team and want to come here currently? All is not lost. We have 6 or more games left to w…[Read more]

You’d think the vibe currently, back-to-back losses and a instate blue chip de committing would signal to the coaches that changes are needed. Guys need to have fun again.. But I severely underestimate how stubborn hard-headed coaches can be. Even to the detriment of their program.

Anfernee replied to the topic Another example of why chasing recruiting battles in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
It matters especially because of the optics of it. We are down right now and the vibe around the program says that as well. If we can finish the other half of the season strong, it will go a long way in keeping recruits and guys from transferring. And it will be appealing to future recruiting and transfers. So yeah us losing a 4☆ LT 6 games into t…[Read more]

Scalley wants an aggressive “Urban-like offense” I think he’ll have no shortage of candidates. Especially directing an offense in this conference. Which SHOULD be not difficult but Ludwig makes EVERYTHING difficult.

Pretty sure Woods arrived at Utah with a partially torn ACL. And played his final game at Idaho on the injured knee but didn’t know the extent yet. Anyway injuries & Utah football 🤝 Sigh
