He’s the coach in waiting and will do a great job. Look at the defense this year alone. Showed up every week and gave us a chance to win. He’s an exceptional motivator and good recruiter. And Morgan has already stated he wants an uptempo aggressive offense. Don’t fall into the trap of lumping him into this s**tnado of a year.
Just a reminder: there’s plenty of parity in college football this year and PLENTY of teams without huge NIL backing that are having very successful seasons. I understand the frustrations to an extent. But I won’t give into the dramatic hyperbole of “COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS DEAD” nonsense. I’m excited for Morgan as HC. I think the NIL situation and collective bargaining agreement to happen soon will help a lot. Go enjoy some Matlock instead of Utah football. Go Utes!
Their pops Jared played for BYU. And isn’t the biggest fan either.
“I don’t have any feelings towards wanting BYU to do anything right,” Sam’s dad, Jared Leavitt, said. “I hope it’s a complete disaster for them, that we throttle those guys.”
Sooooo there’s reasons why those scores and games have been that way outside of just the qb. Is it the main problem? Obviously. But the coaching has been s**t. The adjustments have been s**t. The handling of the entire offense has been s**t. The defense is exhausted. The locker room drama, fighting etc with the skill position players. There’s many layers to a season that COMPLETELY nose dives like this. Yes quarterback is #1 but to go from 4-0 to a probably EIGHT game losing streak to end the year is not on just one position.
