He can come back with the understanding he’s a backup and basically no NIL.
If he wants to come back under those conditions then yes welcome back

AZUTE replied to the topic Thoughts on NIL from a BYU fan (I come in peace) in the forum Football 3 weeks ago
Utah has old money that they have to beg for.
BYU has a new money donor that has openly said the Athletic program will want for nothing financially.
If Smith runs the Cougs the way he’s run the Jazz so far I’m not worried.

Utah still plays D and even at 8-0 BYU’s offense is not that impressive. They been very good at taking advantage off the other teams mistakes like short fields on TOs untimely penalties and so on.
Byu is 40th in total D but haven’t been giving up a lot of points about 20 on avg. they have been as good lately giving up about 30 points and 400 yar…[Read more]

AZUTE replied to the topic Scalley vs Whitt in the forum Football 3 weeks, 4 days ago
In a perfect world whit somehow finds a way to win two more games and become bowl eligible and he does what Urban did with him to Scalley. Name him Co-HC for the bowl game the way Meyer named Whit Co-HC for the Fiesta Bowl and then just walk away.
Let Scalley run bowl practice and prep. This might give players who are considering a transfer a…[Read more]

AZUTE started the topic To anyone who thinks we are going to see a wildly different offense today in the forum Football 3 weeks, 5 days ago
I hate to disappoint you but it’s gonna be more off the same we’ve seen up to this point in the season.
The team has been practicing one systems for years they can’t overhaul it in a few days.
I expect little to no difference in play calling from Ludwig to Baja

AZUTE replied to the topic Should Whitt stay or go? in the forum Football 1 month ago
The game has passed him by. He’s not evolving with the changes he’s to set in his ways.
He was supposed to ride off into the sunset after a big12 championship and playoff run but now these last two seasons are going to tarnish his legacy.
If he can beat byu at least he’ll have scoreboard over the Zoobs when he retires.

AZUTE replied to the topic Mokofisi Out? in the forum Football 1 month ago
Moko has been very disappointing so far this season. He was replaced by Moeia who was just as bad. Falcon was the 3rd RG of the game and performed pretty well.

AZUTE replied to the topic Ludwig made 1.8 million? in the forum Football 1 month ago
BJ isn’t leaving the NFL to be an OC in college. He’d only consider coming back to Utah as HC and even that’s not likely. He’s an NFL guy he wants to be an NFL HC some day.

Utah fans are the laughingstock of the big12 for believing in this team.
Utah fans wrote preseason hype checks the team couldn’t cash.

AZUTE replied to the topic We need to rebuild, starting now in the forum Football 1 month ago
Prepare to be shocked. Scalley has stated publicly he wants more of an Urban Meyer type spread offense.

AZUTE replied to the topic Aaron Dunn Decommits in the forum Football 1 month ago
USC has 6 billionaires funding their NIL right now and are Way overpaying players to get signatures from them.
I’ll just leave it at that.
This is going to be a usc vs Oregon battle and I’d be shocked if usc gets outbid
-
AZUTE replied to the topic Aaron Dunn Decommits in the forum Football 1 month ago
This has NOTHING to do with the big12 or Utah’s current record or the programs recent history.
This is ALL about NIL
USC and Oregon are getting into a bidding war for Dunn and he’s gonna be an instant millionaire when he signs on the dotted line.
Plain and simple

AZUTE replied to the topic Complete failure of HS running back recruiting in the forum Football 1 month ago
Because 225lb power backs grow on trees.
Utah tried in the portal but they wanted too much NIL.
You can’t be too harsh on Mitchell when he’s been hurt most of the season. He showed flashes early on before the ankle injury.

This is what happens when your body is held together with duct tape and prayers.

AZUTE replied to the topic What will it take to become respectable in basketball again in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 month, 1 week ago
I can tell you there are people willing to donate enough money to Utah’s NIL coffers to make the Utes competitive again once Smith is gone. Which should be at the end of this upcoming season.

AZUTE replied to the topic How good is ASU? in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
How in the world did they ever get to 4-1 with all the “issues”?
If Cam plays and is 90% Utah wins going away.
Have not been impressed with ASU defensively.
I think the AZ game was a wake up call to the team. They learned they can’t just show up and beat teams.
Dominant the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Establish Berna…[Read more]
