AZUTE replied to the topic Now 3 ASU coaches suspended indefinitely in the forum Football 3 years, 3 months ago
This is gonna kill ASU recruiting.
These 3 were hand picked by Antonio Pierce to be his recruiting minions and do his dirty work.
They were the 3 most aggressive and active recruiters on the ASU staff.
The Coaching stuff isn’t that big of a deal between grad assistants and Herm himself could coach the DBs they won’t lose that much in ter…[Read more]

Mortgage payment on Utah to cover against BYU.
Whit doesn’t lose that game and he enjoys putting BYU fans players and coaches in their place.

AZUTE replied to the topic Please tell your favourite and/or craziest Bill and Nada's story, nostalgia time in the forum Misc 3 years, 4 months ago
My mother in law was a lifelong waitress and Bill and Nada’s. Her Mom my wife’s Grandma was the day to day manager.
I ate there hundreds of times mostly for breakfasts and lunches. Being family we got pretty good discounts.
Bill would come in and shake hands with the counter regulars.
Not much happened towards the end everybody was older and…[Read more]

AZUTE replied to the topic Off-season banter. Killing time until football starts. in the forum Football 3 years, 5 months ago
Doesn’t matter who they hire until the university decides to put some real money into the program it’s always gonna be a bottom D1 team.
It’s the only sports team at the U that hasn’t had some kind of facilities upgrade since joining the PAC. That should tell you all you need to know.
Do a quick internet search of pac12 baseball facilit…[Read more]

Nate was recently named an Elite 11 finalist.
Side note: USC QB commit Devin Brown and E11 finalist recently transferred to Corner Canyon HS

AZUTE replied to the topic UNLV potential PAC 12 expansion candidate in the forum Football 3 years, 5 months ago
If it’s not Texas and Oklahoma why bother.
UNLV brings nothing to the table and teams like Colo St and Boise bring even less.
Go big or go home

AZUTE replied to the topic Local kids we don't offer in the forum Football 3 years, 5 months ago
Some kids just wanna get out of the Utah bubble.
I think that is the case with Ryan and Maile.
Utah can offer for offers sake but it won’t make a difference.
Roberts has a pain in the ass HC that does everything he can to make sure his players go “bigtime”. Utah has no trouble getting DTs so no reason to deal with that DB if you don’t have to…[Read more]

AZUTE replied to the topic Could this be another one in the forum Basketball (Men) 3 years, 6 months ago
Please No….
6’10” 185 lbs….Yikes
Two years at USU. First year was a redshirt and he missed last year after suffering a season ending leg injury.
In conclusion he’s way way way undersized coming off a serious injury and there are much better bigs in the portal
With that said and knowing Smith and his limited ability to recruit I expec…[Read more]

It goes all the way back to Kansas hiring Danny Manning’s Dad

AZUTE replied to the topic Coach Smith in the forum Basketball (Men) 3 years, 6 months ago
6’9” 5* PF Patrick Baldwin Jr just committed to Milwaukee university of the Horizon league because his Dad is the HC Coach there.
So yeah if it means a package deal to get top recruits you do it.

You can’t have a conversation because you don’t have answer to my question.
Your passive aggressive answer is only proof of that.
How long should we wait before we expect some results from smith?

AZUTE replied to the topic This one pisses me off. in the forum Basketball (Men) 3 years, 6 months ago
So how long before we should expect results?
6 months?
A year?
10 years?
Cause that’s how long we waited for LarrySome Coaches who were hired by other programs after Smith are already pulling in major recruits from the portal.
But somehow in your world Smith gets a free pass until an appropriate amount of time has passed

AZUTE replied to the topic This one pisses me off. in the forum Basketball (Men) 3 years, 6 months ago
But but but Smith is awesome he just needs 18 months to 2 years to get settled in and really start recruiting

AZUTE replied to the topic I'm not going to lie in the forum Basketball (Men) 3 years, 6 months ago
Let me guess you wanted to give Larry more time??
Stop being an apologist for everything Utah Basketball.
Two months is more then enough time to recruit quality pac12 level players out of the portal.
Smith is not a good recruiter that’s why he hired Slocum and Morris to do the work he can’t
In 30 days you’ll be saying it’s only been 3 month…[Read more]

AZUTE replied to the topic JP Zamora Decommits from Utah in the forum Football 3 years, 6 months ago
Tuttle was such a wuss Utah had to tell him and his Dad he was the only QB Utah would sign that year.
Costelli knew Utah would bring in multiple transfer QBs this year but he’s not afraid of a little competition and still signed with Utah
Don’t get those two QBs mixed up again they are on different levels mentally

AZUTE replied to the topic JP Zamora Decommits from Utah in the forum Football 3 years, 6 months ago
Yeah Torres has + + arm talent. He can make every throw with ease. Needs some development
But his arm strength is 5* -
AZUTE replied to the topic JP Zamora Decommits from Utah in the forum Football 3 years, 6 months ago
Zamora didn’t decommit. Utah Coaches pulled his offer. Happens all the time at every college all over the country.
Coaches will take an early commit but if a better prospect comes along Coaches will tell the first commit he no longer has an offer and he needs to move on.
Zamora has plenty of time to land on his feet with another offer.…[Read more]
