I’d personally like Utah to do a fast-paced no-huddle type offense. That worked great today, probably because it goes against Whitt’s philosophy and caught ASU by surprise. My concern is Jackson. If he was healthy, I’d really like our chances versus Washington.

I asked before, is he going to do this in the NFL every time his team loses? This is the sixth time in the last two years I’ve seen him do this (Three against Utah).

Ain’t no way Utah allows 256 rushing yard to Johnson like USC just did. The Utes have zero pressure on them, so they should relish the chance to play spoiler. Sal, do you remember last year on the Game Chat? We were talking about Utah vs Colorado and the Oregon vs Oregon State was going on at the same time. The problem with that scenario is that we would have to play Oregon in the CCG. Of all the teams in the PAC, Oregon is the one that gives Utah the most match-up problems. It’s really hard for me to see a pathway where a CCG with Oregon doesn’t end like (or even worse) than the game last Saturday at Rice-Eccles.

What about Brian Ward, the ASU DC? ASU was so happy with his performance, prior to today’s game, that they gave him a three year extension yesterday.

I’d rather that USC win out and Oregon lose two more games so that we play USC again in the CCG. If USC loses another game, that might mean a possible CCG meeting with Oregon. That’s something that I want to avoid at all costs.

Washington was the #95 defense in the FBS entering this game. USC was the #111 defense in the FBS entering this game. They both will be worse by the end of the game.

If Washington wins this game, then the Utes’ low odds to make the CCG become inexistent. If you’re an Ute fan, you want USC to win this game. Then, If Utah wins next week at Washington, the Utes have the tiebreaker over both USC and Washington. I despise USC with all of my heart. Even so, I know better than to cut off my nose to spite my face. USC wins this game easily 45-28.

Of all teams that still have a chance to make the CCG (not including Zona), USC is the one I have no problem playing again.

Personally, I’d love to see a USC vs Utah rematch in the CCG. It’s possible if USC wins out and we get help from Oregon State.

I was at the game. The worst part about that play, other than the injury, is that the clueless PAC refs originally said that he had gone out at the 1 yard line. They had to reconvene to make the right call.
