I don’t think we’ll ever see Bridges in a Utah uniform.
Former OU players Trejan Bridges, Mikey Henderson headed to RID program, per report

Texas Tech is not a great team.
That’s the understatement of the year. Tech is the Stanford of the Big XII. They are currently 11th in the 14 team league and 3-5 overall.

Facts. If CP3 doesn’t get shoestringed tackled by a Duck receiver when he he picked off Nix late in the 4th QTR, Utah wins that game.

I made a mistake in my previous analysis as both Texas Tech and Hawaii (barely) are ranked ahead of Washington in total defense. That being said, I think my point still stands. Oregon has not played any team that is remotely as competent in defense as Utah and Saturday’s result will reflect that fact.
In case anyone is interested, here are…

No problem ’54…
In case anyone is interested, here are rankings of the FBS defenses that Oregon has played so far (****CORRECTION: TEXAS TECH IS THE HIGHEST RANKED DEFENSE THAT OREGON HAS PLAYED THIS SEASON****):
#59 Texas Tech
#82 Hawaii
#130 Colorado
#127 Stanford
#83 Washington
#115 Washington StateI made a mistake in my previous analysis…[Read more]

I don’t know his financial situation but if he really wants to make some money, he needs to come back and ball out next year. The difference between being a 1st RD versus 3rd RD vs 5th RD vs 7th RD vs UDFA in the NFL are huge and compound on a yearly basis. I just saw a study where the difference in pay between a late 1st RD pick and a mid 3rd…[Read more]

Belli, I’m just using stats and metrics to prove my point. A few things of note:
1. The game will be played in the friendly confines of Rice-Eccles, not at Autzen. That means something.
2. Barnes is not hobbled like Rising was last year. That also means something.
3. We have Vaki on offense this year. It’s incredible, but he’s probably…[Read more]

I’d go with safety. RBs has really become an afterthought and disposable position in the NFL. At safety, Vaki could easily have a 10-12 year NFL career if he stays healthy.

Again, keep in mind that all of the Oregon offensive highlights you’ve seen this season have taken place against bad defensive teams. If Utah’s defense can essentially hold USC to 20 points in the Coli, I think that they can do the same at Rice-Eccles. We’ll see about the offense. However, it feels like they’ve figured out what they need to do…[Read more]

Oregon just has not played any team that plays defense at anything close to a high level. That’s why you have to take their gaudy offensive statistics with a grain of salt. It will be interesting to see if they’re as advertised and can up their game, especially at such a hostile environment as Rice-Eccles.

I’ve said it multiple times now, but it still rings true: Utah is a Biker Gang. They roll into town, do what they want to do, and then leave when they want to leave. It’s exactly what they did in LA this past weekend with former walk on Bryson Barnes leading the charge at QB.

I just checked Oregon’s schedule and the best defensive team they’ve played all year is Washington, which currently stands at #83 in the FBS. By way of contrast, Utah has already played UCLA, who’s #11, and Florida, who’s #18. I think Bo Nix and the high-flying Ducks are going to get a little surprise when they show up at Rice-Eccles on…[Read more]

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Why are we complaining about the Big12? in the forum Football 1 year, 4 months ago
I’m not complaining about the teams or the universities in the Big XII. No, it’s even worse…I’m completely indifferent to them. I see our membership in the Big XII as a form of purgatory until the real realignment takes place sometime between 2029-2031 and Utah hopefully finds a place in the Adults’ Table. Until then, I’ll keep supporting the…[Read more]
