Well, you never know. If Utah beats USC and Oregon beats Wazzu this weekend, there’s a chance that both sneak into the AP Top 10. That might make FOX reconsider the time slot. I would much prefer a night game due to the difference in atmosphere. Glad all of my tickets are on the West side of the stadium.

Excellent point. So far this year, USC only has created 8 turnovers, tied for 77th in the nation with a bunch of other teams, while giving up 7 turnovers of their own. Last year, they created 27 defensive turnovers while only having 7 offensive turnovers during the entire 2022 campaign.

USC’s defense is legit bad. Yes, they only allowed 251 yards to Notre Dame, but they’re 93rd in the FBS in total defense. That’s the big picture. Why do you say that Scalley won’t try tactics that have been proven to be effective against USC? Just too set in his ways?

Yeap Eagle, a lot of the comments I read or heard from pro-USC analysts were concentrated around the lack of performance of the OL. Where are all the freshmen RBs? Randle got his first two carries of the season at the end of the game on Saturday. Still no sighting of Stanley or Mitchell. Are these guys such busts that we have to use one of our starting safeties to supplant them at RB?

My understanding from listening to Bill Riley interview Vaki after the game is that Sione played both RB and slot receiver in HS.

Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation, that Utah can win.

Because, you know, we as Utah fans are directly responsible for having one of the worst offenses in the FBS. There’s absolutely no drama associated with that or the Utah QB situation. Everything is hunky dory and going exactly as planned before the season.

I think we were right on the cusp in 2019. The only loss in the regular season was a shocking defeat at USC (I still see Matt Fink throwing it to Michael Pittman in my nightmares) and a victory in the CCG would have put us in the CFP. The next two games will tell us a lot about this team/season.
