Well Eagle, Scalley is 11 years older than Dillingham…if he hadn’t stayed in Utah, he would have been a HC somewhere already.

I don’t trust Harlan to have that conversation with Whitt or to make a correct decision. In fact. if Scalley is not the next HC, I don’t trust Harlan to be the deciding factor as to who the next HC would be.

You forgot to take one thing into consideration…every team left in our schedule has a functioning QB room. Unless Utah makes some progress in that direction, victories are going to be hard to come by. Hope is not a method.

Man,if this is true Whitt has lost his marbles. Since when does a player decide whether he plays or not? The product, no matter how valiant the effort, was totally unsatisfactory.

If you saw the game, he’s the bald Armenian dude with the glasses that was sitting with Cam in the sidelines. He’s Utah’s Senior Offensive Analyst/Quarterbacks coach and used to be the OC a5 Northwestern.

He’ll be 65 in November. He isn’t a young man any more. If I were him I’d retire but maybe he wants to stick around to prove his detractors wrong. That being said, it sure would be a damned shame if he overstayed and that ended tarnishing his legacy. He’s on contract for three more seasons after this one so it’s definitely something to think about.

I have to ask you, have you seen the schedule? Where do you see those 4-5 wins coming from?

I mean, who really cares…with the 12 team playoff bowls are about as relevant as a horse drawn carriage.

I will say that, if this season deteriorates into a full-blown disaster, it will surely take a ton of luster off Scalley. I mean, who promotes the DC of a losing team to HC? And given the schedule, the number of players out, the number of players playing hurt, the number of players under-performing, this could be Whitt’s worst season in over a decade.

No matter the results, I think that Whitt has earned the right to go out whenever he wants to and however he wants to. 😆…the Clubbers is what I call them…when you come to SLC, you better hit the Club hard. I’m actually a Florida Panthers fans but live hockey and have season tickets for the Clubbers. They’ve instantly become my second favorite team in the league.

With the great mix of talented youngsters (Guenther, Cooley, Doan, and Keller) and experienced pros (Crouse, Sergachev, Stenlund, and O’Brien) this has all of the looks of a playoff team. In fact, The Hockey Guy on YouTube tabbed Utah as a likely playoff team this season.
