Yes, there’s a big disconnect between the rankings at ESPN and those at 24/7. For example, 24/7 has Miami at #4 while ESPN has them down at #13. 24/7 has Clemson at #11 and ESPN has them at #37. Ranking inflation? I don’t know.

Honestly, if this team could just play .500 at home they’d have a good shot at the playoffs. Last I checked, the Jazz and the UHC had the worst home records in the NBA and NHL.

It really has everything to do with merchandising. In addition to coolers, Yeti sells drinkware, tshirts, hats, camping equipment, etc…with the name “Yeti” affixed to them. Yeah, me too…and I’m voting that way tomorrow…it’s also a way to stick it to Yeti LLC legally. The official name will be UHC but the unofficial name, and the one that all fans will use, will be Yetis. Plus, all the merch will have a Yeti, the mascot will be a Yeti, etc…

Well, it looks like if UHC is selected as the team’s name, they’ll really be the Yetis unofficially. I’m talking the team mascot will be a Yeti, merch will have a Yeti on them, the team will be nicknamed the Yetis by fans and media…there just won’t be anything with the name “Yeti” officially sold by the team or signage in the arena.
