The Miami Ute replied to the topic Utah Inherits an NHL Team That Could Be a Playoff Caliber Team Next Season in the forum Professional Sports 8 months, 3 weeks ago
You bet. A lot of people in the NHL know think that this situation is eerily reminiscent of the Quebec Nordiques move to Colorado in 1995. That team won the Stanley Cup during their first year in Colorado and has never looked back since then and becoming one of the most successful franchises in the NHL. Now, I’m not saying that the Utah…[Read more]

Great analysis from Shannon AKA “The Hockey Guy” on the new Utah NHL franchise. For those that don’t follow his YouTube channel, it’s easily one of the best out there not devoted to one specific team (though he’s a Vancouver and Bruins fan). I’ve been perusing for a couple of years and he really comes into his own during the Stanley Cup…[Read more]

The fact is that if someone claims that immigration doesn’t carry any adverse consequences, they likely lack a comprehensive understanding of its mechanics. When the labor pool expands, the cost for firms to employ workers diminishes. Long-term wage patterns indicate that a…[Read more]

Maybe. It wouldn’t be the first time a guy enters the portal and comes back to the same team. It just happened in Logan with Ian Martinez. He entered the portal on 3 April but decided to finish out his college career with Utah State.

Utah will definitely have competition for Edwards’ services. Not only is he a good runner but he’s an excellent receiver out of the backfield. He’s from Kansas, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him go to another Big XII outfit.

I don’t know about this. I read that Miami is targeting Badger to upgrade its WR corps.

I’ve seen a logo design for the Blizzard name that also incorporates a moose motif. I can sign on to that. Here’s a Reddit page that has some, I think, additional pretty cool logo designs for a future Utah NHL team:

The Arizona Outlaws played in the United States Football League in 1985. They were originally the Oklahoma Outlaws when they were established in 1984. Only existed for two seasons.

If you’re going to go there, why not call the team the “Wild Bunch?”
