You shouldn’t feel any remorse for him at all. He made his own bed. He thought that he was going to a better team and it’s turned out to be just the opposite.

Utah is drubbing UCLA 73-35 with 6:24 left in the game. I’m at the game and, let me tell you,by his UCLA team really, really sucks. Poor Lazar Stefanovic…he thought that he was transferring to an elite program and he walked into a raging dumpster fire. Not all change is progress.

Eagle, it’s just so hard to win the CFP. Look at Michigan and how many times it took for them to actually win it. This even with all the resources in the world, Top 10 recruiting classes every year, and one of the best coaches in the nation. Ute fans should just enjoy the journey. Anything beyond that is gravy.

Massive get… I hope he runs wild on secondaries next season. Really makes up for the Matthews loss.

Utah needs to win this game. UCLA is horrible this year due to all of the great players they lost. I mean, they just lost to Cal, the worst program in the PAC, at home and it wasn’t particularly close.

There’s free parking at the Public Safety Department across the street from Rice-Eccles and take the shuttle that drops you off right at the arena. That’s what I’ve been doing the last couple of years.

Unless he’s a graduate transfer, he’d have to sit out next season with Utah. He already used his freebie going from Zona to USC.

Is JJ a grad transfer? I wasn’t aware of that…but good for Malachi if he can condense a four year degree into three years at the same time he’s playing football full time. Not many players can do that.

Here’s the thing though…you can only transfer without having to sit out a season once in your college athletics career. The only caveats to that are if your Head Coach gets fired or goes to another job or if you can show some extenuating circumstance, like s family medical situation, which requires you to be closer to some specific regional area

Well, let me tell you. The way I would think is that Cam’s coming off an injury, Utah’s a top team, and, even if I don’t start, I’m set up for next season and the ability to collect beaucoup NIL for a couple of years. Of course, that scenario sort of derails the Isaac Wilson experience.

Sure I understand that. But, at the same time, Whitt is the CEO of the team and has final say on all recruits and sets the recruiting priorities.

How does a G5, mediocre academic institution and currently mediocre football team like Boise State get a 5 Star QB transfer like Malachi Nelson (previously at USC) while Utah doesn’t even get a sniff of someone like that? Is it that he’s just a bad fit or that Whitt isn’t interested or that Nelson thinks he would start right away?

The Stanford safety? He was a senior last season so I guess he’ll be like Battle and Diabate…a one season rental.

I heard rumors that he supposedly had offers from out of state. We’ll probably never know.

Yeah, I know, he played four games for USU with bad stats before moving on. You get my point though. Even the G5 was too big for him and he had to go to a FCS school to excel.

The funny thing is that he’s probably going to start Spring Camp as the 3rd string QB behind Legas and Hillstead for the Aggies. Not all change is progress. You all remember Jason Shelley, who actually also looked good at times in his cameos with the Utes? He also transferred to Utah State, never even got a sniff of the field there and had to…[Read more]

That’s correct. He wasn’t projected as a starter at the start of the season but definitely made the best of the opportunity.

Yeap, just saw that…he’s going to be #8…good luck to him. I guess he’ll be closer to home. Not sure what it’s going to do to get him to the next level though…

Well, the funny thing is that there’s zero trace of him going anywhere. Usually, there’s some stuff on the athlete’s individual social media account hyping up the move with “Committed!” or some other verbiage…there’s been total radio silence on this kid.
