I agree 100 percent. If you’ve made it known that you’re transferring to another school, you might as well clean out locker. I don’t fully trust some young adult to be completely mentally there when his mind in already in another place.

There’s always room in the NBA for unselfish players that can play defense and rebound.

I have to think that’s the more likely scenario.

Utah is a Top 35 team in NIL and athletic revenue, so it has to be a collective that has the funds to provide Jackson with a significant improvement over what he’s already receiving here. But his performance doesn’t dictate him getting a massive NIL deal, unless some team is aligned with the Saudi sovereign investment fund and has money to burn.

Unfortunately, I don’t even think he gets drafted. Unlike football, there are so many good basketball players for so few spots in the NBA that you could be really good in college and not even get a whiff of the pros. I don’t know much about BYU but a few days ago, the Locked on BYU host was on the Locked on Big 12 Podcast and mentioned this guy as a significant loss to the program. That was well before anyone knew he was coming to Utah.
