This! This frustrated me so much, especially with so many backup lineman in for byu. Reid was constantly getting by with almost no resistance every time he came up the middle.

“I’m a fan of good teams”
So you’re a self proclaimed bandwagon? That’s worse than just admitting to being a byu fan. -

I’m sorry but that was either a facemask or Brandon Rose is really good at keeping his head right next to the defenders hand. My bet is the former

There’s a reason Zach was never a captain.

Maybe it’s time we start the ultimate Quarterback experiment and give each QB on the roster one drive in the first half and then decide who’s the best for the second half.

Rick Walker replied to the topic Complete failure of HS running back recruiting in the forum Football 1 month, 1 week ago
Agreed, one of the hard things about recruiting running backs out of high school is it can be hard to tell when they’re genuinely strong runners or just more athletic than all the high school players around them. Transfers are usually proven since they’ve already played college ball.

Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if the Under Armour cleats have something to do with it. It seems like a lot of the avoidable injuries have been lower body/leg injuries that could easily be affected by the cleat, and Under Armour just has been going downhill for a while now. Obviously strength and conditioning should be looked at but I’m curious…[Read more]

I wonder if there is some correlation between preseason expectations and fan happiness. I used be happy just watching football and while losses always bummed me out I was fine by sunday morning, but this year I just let a loss hurt way more than it should have for two weeks just to watch another crappy game of football. Part of me wants to just go…[Read more]

Vele’s from Southern Cal, but he did serve an LDS mission which I could see confusing people and making them think he’s from Utah.

Rick Walker replied to the topic Love this coaching staff, but… in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Mcmillian wasn’t the problem, he wasn’t even the biggest problem in the passing game, the problem was giving up over 200 yards to their running backs. That game was beyond frustrating watching our normally stout run D just give up 15 yard gain over and over again.

I’m curious to know what policies around this type of thing will be made once players are officially employees of the universities. I have to imagine there would be a penalty from criminal charges just like most companies have, and with that coaches can’t just turn their backs to their best players off field issues.

I the EDGE is pretty uncertain. There’s definitely potential but no proven stars. I think our tackles will be fine with Tafuna, Pepa, Vimahi, Tanuvasa, and fotu.

This is an insufferable take, no Utah fan has made the claim that Utah will be invited to the SEC, it’s a claim made by a former head coach who has no real connections to the school and offering his own speculation. Stop pretending it’s something it’s not. Can Utah fans (and fans of any school) hope and dream of being in a power two confe…[Read more]

Rick Walker replied to the topic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jerome Myles in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
I wouldn’t call Corner Canyon’s QB unproven. 4 star recruit who led Timpview to a 5A championship as a sophomore. Jerome should look pretty good catching passes from that dude as well as 4/5 offensive lineman returning from last year. I’m particularly excited to watch the game against IMG academy in week two and see how the whole team does.
