Just like old times when 1 o’clock starts were standard that late in the season and later starts were played earlier in the season. Unfortunately, I suspect this will be the last afternoon game of the year and the next couple we’ll be freezing our buns off with 8PM starts in snow storms.

They don’t call plays dead on offside penalties. That gives the offense an opportunity to complete the play without the possibility of a negative outcome.

I think Ritchie will have an opportunity to shine, he looked good after Bishop was thrown out Saturday.

The flea flicker with cam has worked reasonably well, the double reverse run or pass hasn’t worked since Covey executed it.

One problem is he has only been thrown to 3 or 4 times this season. Like most of our other receivers he has had little impact. His biggest problem has been poor blocking.

Unfortunately, I think to get to where we all hoped this team could be, it is very difficult with at best slightly below average power 5 QB as our starter. Power 5 conference #1 QB. Barnes did a heck of a job extending plays with his feet but he takes far too long finding receivers. The O line often gave him 4 or 5 or 6 seconds before breaking down. Glover almost aways goes down on 1st contact. I have no idea why. His high school highlights showed a completely different runner. I guess more than anything it shows how much difference there is between those 2 levels.
Vaki did play some RB in high school, I think he was recruited as an athlete rather than a position.

I saw JJ limp off the field once but he came back in later. I didn’t see Vaki but the way things are going with player injuries, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised.

that’s pretty much why we are 5-1 and not 1-5 right now. I hope our offense really starts to click. Barnes did yeoman work out there today, but I still don’t think he is a P5 QB.

It’s been my experience that it is very difficult to tell what someone else thinks.

As long as that Jethro Tull guy and that Lynard Skynard guy are still around, I guess I can get by.

If everybody on the same team are wearing the same cloths, that certainly can be considered a uniform. When I was in the military I wore several different uniforms depending on orders and circumstances but they were all uniforms because all the other people in the same circumstances were wearing the same thing.

One of my biggest worries for this game and every game really is whether or not the Utes will have uniforms. It’s always a big relief when they do.

At this point I think it’s just beating a dead horse. It is what it is.
