I think the real pivotal game was actually that UNLV game the next week. Probably the worst performance by a Whit defense ever, and the offense wasn’t any better. Whit vowed his team would never play like that again, and they haven’t .

If CU were to beat all those teams, I think there would be a real possibility that they could just as easily beat us. Quite probably if they lost to us they would have 1 loss and be in the CCG.

His ineffectiveness as a runner I think had more to do with about how he was used most of the way through the first 2 games. Every time he was in the game, he ran the ball. I think Baylor was gifted with a non called PI that was about the same as ours. They were also gifted with at least 2 very questionable holding calls.

Personally I would love to see Glover not go down the moment someone touches him. He has shown great moves and a lot of speed. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any signs of this. I don’t know much about this QB, but according to the Baylor announcer after he settled in he moved well enough to avoid the pass rush and even had a 30+ yard run. He sounds like the type of QB our defense has had trouble with in the past.

Unfortunately he seems to go down if touched by a feather. YAK is a foreign language to him.
