I don’t think it really matters which 4 game because I don’t believe he factors into the strategy this year. The reason his immediate eligibility is important is for potential developmental oppurtunities looking forward to next year.

Who they played matters but not as much as people suggest it does. Sure he played against less talented defenses, he also was throwing to less talented receivers and being protected by less talented offensive lineman.

I keep hearing these concerns but not to worry. Here’s a more relevant trend; 4 straight league blowouts. This is a different team and a different situation from past day game/november/division title contenders. Rest easy, utes by +10.

I think they knew this rule would play out like this but thought it’s worth it if it makes things safer. Sacrifices in the quality of the game were made to try and make things safer. I wouldn’t call it a failure yet but you are correct the balance between safety and quality of the game does seem overly skewed towards safety.

If UCLA wins they are the 4 seed, Stanford is the 5, Oregon is the 6 seed because they have the tie breaker over UW(2-0 vs UW).  If UCLA loses Stanford is the 4 seed and UCLA would be tied with Oregon and UW.

It’s crazy how Utah and Cal almost mirror each other. It’s very likely that the tie breaker would come all the way down to our Oregon State loss.

Do you mean at worst tied for fourth but be a 5 seed in the Pac12 tourny? If USC wins out and Cal only losses to us then we have a three way tie. This isn’t likely (USC still plays Arizona and Cal still plays Oregon) but if they managed to win those games.
