Unfortunately Fisch is not there to get his payback. He’s the one that’s owed. Still running it up in this case is more justified than usual due to last year.

USC finally admitted that they couldn’t beat Utah consistently or win the conference consistently with the then current financial system so they needed BIG 10 money. And then they paid Riley a ton of money and still got beat by Utah.

Calgradutedad replied to the topic What made college football great. in the forum Football 11 months, 2 weeks ago
I feel like the current trend is eliminating the possibility of upsets. The unpredictability of college football is going away as money concentrates in the top hands. If a smaller school finds a diamond in the rough that player will be going to a bigger school with NIL and won’t be staying at a small school for years. I heard a stat a few weeks…[Read more]

But then he pushes his next contract back a year which will be a lot more than $10 million. If he goes in 2024 he will hit even bigger money in 2028. If he wait until 2025 then it becomes 2029. This seems just like a primadonna drawing more attention.

No idea what az was doing there. The game was over take a knee. We left the bar we were watching at figuring the game was over. We were pretty surprised that another score was put on the board.

Best not to leave a college kicker kicking from the hash. Odds better from middle of field especially at that distance.

If he does play the scene there will be even more amazing. We were thinking of coming out from California for this game but we decided to do the Oregon game instead.

I’ve been pretty annoyed by the hype around Colorado but it would have been nice if Hunter could play when SC visits and maybe have given them a change. Don’t see CU beating either UO or SC without him. Probably not with him either but it would have been nice if SC gets an unpredictable loss this year.

Be sure to give them an SEC chant once Utah has the game in hand. The SEC is very top heavy. The middle and bottom teams are very beatable especially on the road.

We’ve stayed downtown SLC for many games now. We like to eat at Squatters Pub once a trip. There was a big group of Arkansas fans having a gathering there the night before the BYU-Arkansas game last year. We were in town for the Utah USC game. We use Uber a lot when up there as it’s not too much. We usually take TRAX to and from the games as…[Read more]

Calgradutedad replied to the topic I am really, really sad about the death of the PAC in the forum Pac-12 1 year, 3 months ago
I feel bad too but I’m glad we had the time together. I’m a longtime Cal fan and Bay Area resident. I brought my son up to a game against UCLA in 2017 because my grandparents grew up in Salt Lake City and I had barely spent any time there. He eventually decided to go to school at Utah and I got to go to two Pac 12

There’s so much info out there that’s not correct but it’s hard to trust anyone as the writers don’t have as many contacts at Apple as they do at the networks. I have read that the Apple money was terrible. And I have also read that it will be better than Big 12 in the first year or two. If the conference stays together we will probably read…[Read more]

They saw that they couldn’t beat Utah on a regular basis without spending about $20 million more than them so they needed to go to FOX and take their money.

Calgradutedad replied to the topic 2023 Schedule Released in the forum Football 1 year, 10 months ago
I think the conference really cannibalizes itself this year. The teams at the top from last year should still be there since most have their QBs returning. No teams have enough talent to dominate like Georgia does.
UCLA will be breaking in a new QB so probably good to get them early in the year. USC has to play UW and UO so tougher schedule…[Read more]

Doubt they give them two back to back road game sequences. Stanford was only team that got that last year. I think they’ll either play at home or have a bye before OSU since it’s a Friday road game.
