Calgradutedad replied to the topic Two years ago I was very confident in the forum Football 2 years, 11 months ago
2019 Oregon had Penei Sewell and Herbert. Sewell was just an overwhelming talent. They also had two other guys on the Phil Steele all PAC 12 offensive line that year including Jake Hanson who missed the second half of the ASU game that year. They do have some good talent on the offensive line this year but no Sewell there. Also I remember at…[Read more]

I just watched Arizona last week. They are horrible. The only thing worse than them is Cal with half of its offense missing.

I’ve tried to rewatch the game a couple of times and I don’t get far. Watching guys from BYU coming in untouched up the middle to tackle the ball carrier as it’s handed to him gets frustrating. I see many positive spots on the defense and Bernard looks really good but I would like to see the line more in sync.
Big picture wise the South is…[Read more]

Calgradutedad started the topic Interesting Huntley stat in the forum Football 4 years, 11 months ago
Huntley has taken a massive step forward this season and showed off some impressive accuracy. We still have question marks about his ability to make quick decisions with the football, as 229 of his 336 dropbacks this season (68.2 percent) have taken over 2.5 seconds. That is the third-highest percentage in the…[Read more]

Calgradutedad replied to the topic Texas is only the third perennial blue blood team we have ever faced in a bowl. in the forum Football 4 years, 11 months ago
Beating Texas is always fun. They’re like USC in that they think they should be top 10 every year. Cal took them down twice in the Sonny Dykes era and that was probably the highlight of his era.

Calgradutedad replied to the topic Key to tomorrow's win in the forum Football 4 years, 11 months ago
The Oregon kicker missed a 24 yarder against Oregon State and a 20 yarder vs ASU. He made a 32 yarder vs Oregon State. Guessing that given the field conditions tomorrow they won’t bother having him kick from outside the 20 if the yardage to gain isn’t more than a few yards.

Calgradutedad replied to the topic ESPN: How Utah can lose to CAL in the forum Football 5 years ago
This Cal team is not playing anywhere near the level it was six weeks ago. Most of that is due to injuries/lack of depth. That Washington game did end around 2.

Calgradutedad replied to the topic Utah vs Washington at 1pm (Pacific Time) on Fox in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Six day selection is when the networks don’t make a decision on what time they want the game to kick off until the Sunday before the games. Usually they do this when they want to ensure they have the best matchup possible.

Beat them down. Tired of the ASU hype. Still would like them to beat $C in a few weeks.

Hopefully we get an upset of one of the top teams this weekend and get a surprise good game. Kind of an odd weekend where I can’t root against ASU or USC.

Does TRAX usually run for a couple of hours after the game? I’m not having luck finding info on this online. The online schedule indicates that 11 PM is the last train going up toward the medical center where our hotel is.

Calgradutedad replied to the topic Unpopular opinion in the forum Football 5 years, 2 months ago
Overhyped or not there is still a lot of football to go. USC will probably lose to Washington this weekend. And then Oregon later this year. They just need to have a third loss so that Utah has breathing room to lose at Washington if necessary. The rest of the South is manageable. Things looked bleak last year after starting 0-2 in conference…[Read more]

6 FGs against Oregon last year including a 55 yarder and a 41 yarder. Different game with a below average kicker. Hopefully it won’t matter this year but it probably will.

Cut scholarships down. Gives them less mistakes to make when recruiting.
