For walk-ons there is a limit, I believe it is still 20 additional non-scholarship players. At one time the difference was the walk-ons did not get the training table – unlimited food with the team. Absolutely right Miami. Merit and test scores will produce not only the greatest diversity, it also eliminates so many nonproductive hires. I have gone variety of universities, gained degrees in three different states and enjoyed advanced military training and would say the UofU is as welcoming as any. As a non-LDS I have had zero issues as well.

It was George Patton who reminded us, the other side will have a plan also. Someone in conference always has a development no one saw coming.

Of course Utah is not a slam dunk for the B12 championship. Not perfect at all but likely is the best chance to win it all. The other contenders have their issues as well so the hype is relative to the other choices.

I think that may be a guess. For years, Utah benefited from 2 individuals they have no longer. Chris Hill’s first love was MBB and he was good at his job. The missionaries coming and going are hard to track. Some play a year then go, some go right away, birthdates may have something to do with it.
