Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Couples Therapy Utah Football Fan Edition in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
So true! After the second season of who’s going to be the QB because everything was put in to the Rising basket, all while being told that this team has the most talent we have ever had, how can fans not feel like we are being gas lit? The silence around Whit’s retirement decision and the OC situation is only adding further fuel to the gas…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Do you remember… in the forum Football 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I remember being frustrated with the offensive output in the last few seasons of McBride’s tenure. I can’t help but think that the last two years post Rising is feeling a lot like the last few years of McBride. A team with a lot of talent and potential that can’t seem to put it together on a consistent basis on offense.
It seems like a new OC…[Read more]

Dude is fast and would be great on receiver sweeps. Probably a good choice for a slot receiver position if he does want to come back.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Whittingham meeting with Cam in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Setting aside Cam coming back or not, I hope that someone in the medical field has a serious talk with him about how the injuries he has sustained playing football may impact his physical health the rest of his life.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Wilson debacle is on Whit in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Who knows what the real reasons are for playing Wilson when he clearly is not ready and needs more development, especially considering he has had some sort of injury (before the ISU game). When both Rose and Bottari can step in and the offense works, obviously something has gone wrong in the evaluation of the ability to make the offense go.…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Whitt apologists can suck it! in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago
When either Rose or Bottari can step in to a game and execute a serviceable offense, something is clearly wrong on the coaching front. Letting Rising play the whole game on a season ending injury, keeping IW as your starting QB when we can barely get in to double digits on the scoreboard for multiple games?
Whitt needs to look in the mirror and…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic So are you guys going to pull off the dub tonight? in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago
??? Who knows. Maybe the offensive staff turned over enough rocks this week and enough things crawled out to patch an offense together that can score points. I’m not holding my breath though.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic THE NEW PLAN! in the forum Football 2 months ago
Not only was the QB situation mishandled, but over those 20 years the offense has been as well. From a constant churn of offense coordinators to moving your best talent from offense to defense, the offensive side of the equation has always been overlooked by Whitt.
His solution was to bring back Ludwig whose offensive scheme is so complex it…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Kickoff Strategy in the forum Football 2 months, 1 week ago
What do the analytics say about fielding a competent offense? Apparently Whit doesn’t pay attention to that information. Take away the kickoff returned for a touchdown and we win that game even with the second half offensive turtle mode.
I don’t think our special team kick coverage is good enough to risk the potential big return on short kicks.…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Anyone have a plumber reference? in the forum Misc 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Mine is directly after the shut off valve for the main water into the house. So waterline comes in from outside – shut off valve – pressure reducing valve. It’s there because it was the most convenient place to get access to it, so that is where we chose to install it. When I moved into the house the pressure reducing valve was up in the…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Anyone have a plumber reference? in the forum Misc 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Tony, it’s likely you have a bad pressure reducing valve. I had the same issue a few months back, terrible hammering noises and pipes shaking. The part itself is about $280 (at least to replace what I had with the same thing). My dad was a plumber (long since retired) so luckily I have a certain amount of knowledge as well as access to tools if…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Stealing signs…by radio? in the forum Football 2 months, 3 weeks ago
So the whole point of the radio thing is to deal with sign stealing and you roll out an unencrypted system that is open to anyone? What a joke.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Not hearing a damn thing about STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING in the forum Football 2 months, 4 weeks ago
Injuries to your feet and the resulting instability are hard to overcome for non athletes let alone football players. I popped my cuboid bone out of place and the amount of physical therapy, including bi-weekly treatments and taping was several months long. All that did was just keep it in place and make my foot stable again. I had to…[Read more]

Well, if nothing else he nailed that media availability session. I liked his sense of humor. Hopefully things start trending in the right direction for the offense.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Per Coach Whitt about Ludwig in the forum Football 3 months ago
Total speculation on my part, but I bet the offensive players had been giving their respective position coaches an ear full for the past several weeks. Most likely the receivers and the tight ends have been the loudest. So the noise has probably been making it’s way up the chain with Ludwig knowing it’s his system that is failing.
If the…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Few projections have Boise State with 1st Round Bye in the forum Football 3 months ago
This is the problem with a system where the best teams from either the Big 12 or ACC start the season unranked or barely in the top 25. The B1G or SEC don’t need to worry about having their conference champions bumped for a G5 but the Big 12 and ACC certainly do.
If Boise St. does get a 1st round bye then I hope they get matched up against a B1G…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic How did we lose to AZ? They get seal clubbed by all other B12 teams. in the forum Football 3 months ago
Multiple trips to the red zone with no points in the first half of that game put is in a position to have to try and play from behind in the second half. Throw in a freshman QB with the inevitable mistakes trying to be aggressive in the “throw game” and you get a big fat loss.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Season Ending. Farewell Cam Rising. in the forum Football 3 months, 1 week ago
After seeing the replay of him getting rolled up on, it doesn’t surprise me that whatever the injuries are that they are season ending. He had limited mobility the entire game and I bet it’s even worse now. I hope that continuing to play on it didn’t aggravate or make things worse. At this point he needs to think about the kind of mobility and…[Read more]
