O line was down two starters against a solid defense in NIU. The defense made adjustments and looked much improved in the second half and Fotu didn’t even play. Are we top 10? Who knows, but keep on winning that all of that takes care of itself.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic its going to be really tough for anybody to guard us in man with in the forum Football 5 years, 9 months ago
I like the fact that Ludwigs offense has structured route running by TE’s and receivers, rather than just having the receivers look for space. Add a running QB to the mix who has the option of changing the play at the los along with a power running game with purpose (as opposed to the back just looking for gaps to open), then you are forcing…[Read more]

I just made myself a large picture of kool-aid and I am guzzling it. I just got done watching about 30 min of Vanderbilt highlights from the 2018 season. Andy Ludwig is exactly the OC that Utah needs. When you have a running game that is a threat, Ludwigs RPO and play action calls are a thing of beauty. Goal line miss-direction with power…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Receiver corp and coach Holliday in the forum Football 5 years, 10 months ago
I’m willing to bet that a good portion of the non-production from the receivers was due largely to scheme and play calling by Troy Taylor. Add in a QB like Huntley who can be unpredictible when choosing to break out of the pocket and you probably have some additional production issues just due to it being a broken play (obviously some of these go…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic PARKER VAN DYKE in the forum Basketball (Men) 5 years, 11 months ago
I am so happy that the switch (whater ever it was) has finally flipped for Van Dyke. He has figured out the spacing that he needs to have to play his game against longer and faster players. This team needs his leadership and his scoring contributions.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic That media thing last night sucked. in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
The KSL Sports Beat thing was a circuis. I hate the local sports shows and personalities, and that debacle last night didn’t help matters at all. I get that the kid is the current state record holder in several catagories and probably the number 1 recruit for the state this year, but the fact remains that he hasn’t even played 1 down of college…[Read more]

What a freaking circus. 10:45 decsision gets pushed to 11:25 because of weather. Puka won’t make a decision without his mom, and she want’s to wait for two more of her kids to get there. Decision UDUB – who freaking cares. Good luck Puka, the only time I’m even going to think about you is if you are playing the Utes. Sampson, is the only…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Is it me or is this whole Nacua announcement a little "Jake Heaps" esque? in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
If he is going to an instate school, then the Sports Beat Sunday appearance and announcement makes total sense. The viewers care, and KSL gets the exclusive story of the local blue chip player that decided to stay home.

Exacty my thoughts. Choose an out of state school and all you are going to do is piss off the local fan bases of both the U and Y.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Puka in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
If you aren’t going to choose either Utah or BYU, why would you save your announcement for KSL sports at 10:45 PM? Other than the coaching staffs at the other schools the only people that are going to be watching his decision are U or Y fans. If you choose an out of state school, it’s going to come across as big middle finger to sports fans in…[Read more]

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Blackmon moving to safety in the forum Football 5 years, 11 months ago
I seriously hope this move (Bronson Boyd) doesn’t come back to bite the offense in the ass when half the WR core is the walking wounded mid-way through next season.

How many layups has PVD had blocked over the years? Tonight he throws down a two-handed flush with ease? Dude, dunk that thing all the time from now on.

Charlie Foxtrot replied to the topic Utah Basketball is unwatchable in the forum Basketball (Men) 6 years ago
The other thing I don’t understand is that Utah can put a very athletic team on the floor with the exception of the 5 , but those lineups aren’t used for extended periods of time. I would rather see Gach on the floor knowing that he is going to make mistakes, rather than PVD who stuggles to get off a shot against most P5 teams.

Barefield is not a point guard. He doesn’t have the skill set or the ball handling skills. How the hell does Larry not have a servicible PG on this team? Defense is terrible, no one is ever in a position to box out or get a rebound. The offense is a joke. Can anyone other than Barefield even get their own shot in a short shot clock? No one…[Read more]

Johnson also has Dak Prescott on his resume. You would think that would open some recruting doors in getting future QB’s to consider Utah.

Florida absolutely smoked Michigan today, Jonson has been a QB coach for Dan Mullen for several years now (minus one year as Huston’s OC). Is it time to call Brian home for his second (more experienced) stint as OC/QB coack at Utah?
