Tony, it’s likely you have a bad pressure reducing valve. I had the same issue a few months back, terrible hammering noises and pipes shaking. The part itself is about $280 (at least to replace what I had with the same thing). My dad was a plumber (long since retired) so luckily I have a certain amount of knowledge as well as access to tools if I don’t have what I need. Depending on where the pressure reducing valve is and if it is easy access you probably aren’t looking at too much time to pull out and replace.

So the whole point of the radio thing is to deal with sign stealing and you roll out an unencrypted system that is open to anyone? What a joke.

Ok then. Be sure to actually enjoy your teams season somewhere along the way.

Well, if nothing else he nailed that media availability session. I liked his sense of humor. Hopefully things start trending in the right direction for the offense.

Total speculation on my part, but I bet the offensive players had been giving their respective position coaches an ear full for the past several weeks. Most likely the receivers and the tight ends have been the loudest. So the noise has probably been making it’s way up the chain with Ludwig knowing it’s his system that is failing.

If the Arizona and TCU defenses can both hold you to 13 and 7 points respectively, your system and schemes have failed. Utah’s offense is certainly not taking advantage of the skill sets of most of it’s offensive talents.

This is the problem with a system where the best teams from either the Big 12 or ACC start the season unranked or barely in the top 25. The B1G or SEC don’t need to worry about having their conference champions bumped for a G5 but the Big 12 and ACC certainly do.

If Boise St. does get a 1st round bye then I hope they get matched up against a B1G or SEC team and take them out in the second round.

Not only was the QB situation mishandled, but over those 20 years the offense has been as well. From a constant churn of offense coordinators to moving your best talent from offense to defense, the offensive side of the equation has always been overlooked by Whitt.

His solution was to bring back Ludwig whose offensive scheme is so complex it takes 3 years for a QB to master. That worked well with Rising, but it hasn’t worked with anyone else except for Huntley who had several years of starting under his belt when Ludwig was calling the plays.

Now after a sub-par 2023 and total collapse of the 2024 season, we need to change the offensive system to be more plug and play. This realization should have been clear especially after watching the shuffle between backup QB’s who can’t run the system. Putting all of your eggs in the Rising basket was a huge risk that didn’t pay off and ended up exploding in Whitt’s face.

The offensive struggles and mishandling over the past 20 years are squarely on Whitt’s shoulders, and frankly he deserves criticism for it. He has had plenty of time to right the offensive ship over the past 20 years but failed to do so. Now, only after the wheels have come off, is he considering doing something with the offense that should have been done years ago.

What do the analytics say about fielding a competent offense? Apparently Whit doesn’t pay attention to that information. Take away the kickoff returned for a touchdown and we win that game even with the second half offensive turtle mode.

I don’t think our special team kick coverage is good enough to risk the potential big return on short kicks. Apparently there isn’t a way to shoehorn that information into the analytical model that Whit is using. I’m all for getting the edge how ever you can and I’m sure analytics plays a part in informing decisions, but Whitt sure seems to lean on them heavily and I’m not so sure that is a good thing. In fact I think a 5 game loosing streak is a good indication that it’s not a good thing and maybe we should start coaching by feel of how the game is ebbing and flowing instead of looking at some probabilities on a stat sheet and play calling off of that.

Mine is directly after the shut off valve for the main water into the house. So waterline comes in from outside – shut off valve – pressure reducing valve. It’s there because it was the most convenient place to get access to it, so that is where we chose to install it. When I moved into the house the pressure reducing valve was up in the ceiling joist area about 10 feet away from the shutoff valve. We put a new one in that lasted about 15 years and that is the one I just replaced.

It could be outside your house, but my bet is it’s somewhere inside after your main water shut off valve. What you are looking for is fairly big, brass, and is bell shaped on one side. It likely has a green metal tag that has the brand name of Watts on it, although it could be another brand. It probably has big brass unions on both ends, or it could just have a union on one end and be threaded into a fitting on the other side. If your mechanical room isn’t where the water line comes into the house, the pressure reducing valve could be in there somewhere. It should be before your water heater and/or water softener if you have one.

Hopefully who ever you can get to do a service call can locate it quickly and get it swapped out for you.

Injuries to your feet and the resulting instability are hard to overcome for non athletes let alone football players. I popped my cuboid bone out of place and the amount of physical therapy, including bi-weekly treatments and taping was several months long. All that did was just keep it in place and make my foot stable again. I had to completely change what I was wearing for shoes and add additional support with orthotics to just continue to keep everything in place and stop the injury from occurring again.

The worst part is I don’t even know what I did to injure it in the first place? All I know now is that I can’t wear a pair of shoes that cost less than $150, lol.
