That was actually a response to @Utah but dislike away. I am in no way associated with utefans.net unless you count my previous unfortunate non-sports related comments, which I am now swearing off completely, with a minor indulgence here or there.

It’s that damn Mormon Culture. Heaven forbid we talk about the University of Utah or watch a rated R movie. People don’t think of Baptists when they think of Alabama (well, not only), or Puritans when Massachusetts is mentioned, but Utah will always be the place with the Mormons because of that culture. I don’t mean to say there shouldn’t be…[Read more]

The meme was a more light hearted attempt to address “You are LDS, and in church they teach you that you must root for the Lord’s school and you take that to heart and root for the Lord’s school.” It was not meant to be defensive. I do hope Jesus is proud of me though. I love Jesus. WWJD.

I must have missed the irony. Did @jrj84105 not create a false dichotomy inferring that BYU fans would jump ship to Utah? BTW, the Fallacy Referee is a well established meme. I’m sure “Russ” would probably like it, but that’s neither here nor there. What exactly am I a true servant of?

Of course they do, but it is fallacious to assume that one is the cause of the other. Are all Notre Dame fans Roman Catholic?

I think we have a few JUCO athletes in their second year. Agasiva at least, and he’s a beast. I suppose that falls under experience. 2nd year in an offense with returning starters and players coming into their own gives me a positive outlook. Hope springs eternal.

This is a weird year because all of our biggest challenges are not juggernauts, they’re winnable games. How dangerous is Washington without Vita Vea and Dante Pettis? Can Mario Cristobal summon a defense? Can SC find someone whose shoulders can bear the weight of the offense? Can we maintain gap integrity against Stanford? There is so much up…[Read more]

Here’s my question. Why do bigger names at the quarterback position stay healthy? Are they just better overall athletes which in turn gives them a big name? This is an honest question I can’t seem to resolve. Darnold stayed healthy, despite a suspect offensive line. Browning is interesting, he had a quieter year this year, even with Dante…[Read more]

On the topic of the Southerners, can anyone tell me why they hate Hill so much? Was it the 2 year hiatus that was really a 1 year hiatus? Some of them seem to think he is Anti-Mormon as well? I mean, I’m genuinely apathetic about Tom Holmoe. I don’t understand why they would even care.

This was a fun article. http://utahutes.com/news/2018/3/6/spring-football-defensive-line-preview.aspx I think we may have a case for the nastiest line in the conference this year.

I think he’s sub 4.5. Hunter Renfrow from Clemson reminded me a lot of Covey if you’re looking for a player comparison. Covey is shorter and more athletic though.

Don’t forget Pirtle and Lund mixing it up with the front 6. I hope they can rotate in frequently to keep everyone healthy. I wish we played USC and UCLA earlier in the year so we could terrorize their new quarterbacks. We also have a PUNISHING running back stable. Moss, Henry-Cole, and Shyne. If everyone can stay healthy, well, I’m pretty excited.

Best I can find so far is Youtube TV, which carries all of the sports channels, even CBSSN, but not Pac-12. Then the 20 channel lineup for Sling TV. Looking at a minimum of $55 a month. Biggest downside is having to watch Pac-12 through the stupid Sling app, but other than that, seems okay, especially since you can use your Youtube TV…[Read more]

@KJU I disagree. I think that is a composition fallacy. The penalties help regulate fair play. Causing injury or giving the offense an unfair advantage make the play unfair. My original point was that I didn’t believe that this play caused injury or unfair advantage to the offense with a plea to help me understand why it exists. I’ve since…[Read more]
