SR-71 Blackbird-themed Jerseys would be great.

Give me your best ideas for our hand-painted helmets fellas. The more off the wall, the better. Here are mine:
realistic idea – winter sports/olympics themed jerseys. Mainly just want awesome pantings of snow-covered Utah Mountains.
Off the wall, nothing to do with UofU, hair brained idea: Straw Hat Pirates-themed jerseys. Think Japan 2023…[Read more]

He brought that talent in though, with the exception of BC. Smith has been fine. He’s made things a little better. The problem is his ceiling as a coach has been reached IMO. He isn’t good enough.

If the team doesn’t bounce back in a major way Smith needs to go. Any recruiting momentum we could have had from beating TSPP is gone and we have nothing to look forward to next year.

47% as a team is embarrassing. No excuse for some two hands and all 10 fingers to miss more than 50% of their foul shots.
I shot a basketball for the first time in years a week or so ago, and without warmup I made my first 12 free throws. Smith has relied on his athleticism his entire life and now it’s biting him in the ass.
I cannot fathom how…[Read more]

Woods is great, but can he get 2 yards consistently on 3rd or 4th and 1? I don’t know about that. We NEED a big body that doesn’t go down like a sack of potatoes the second there is contact (Glover).

Yeah… our short yardage running is S.O.L. if Glover is our bruiser. We need a guy that weighs north of 220 lbs.

That would be nice, but I don’t think we NEED more OL depth.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic The question none of us want to ask in the forum Football 11 months, 1 week ago
We could indeed use a bruiser back, but I think we might have a guy or two on the team already that can fill that hole.
I think you are making faulty assumptions about the offensive philosophy. You seem to be suggesting that we haven’t spread the ball around in the past under Ludwig, and that is incorrect. Last year’s philosophy was out of…[Read more]

what are the odds both Cam and Kuithe make it through this year without another season-ending (or at least ruining) injury?
We’ll be lucky if even one of them makes it through the season without missing more than a game or two… and THAT is this team’s biggest question mark by far. If Rising goes down, our offense might do even worse than it did…[Read more]

I believe it will be easier to nab a decent backup QB from the portal after spring ball. I’m sure there will be guys that are at least looking for chances to move up on the depth chart.

I was disappointed when I went to Utah Red Zone. There wasn’t much variety in the selection, and the majority of the stuff was ugly and/or poor quality.
The coaches seem to have a bunch of great stuff that simply isn’t available to everyone else. Bizarre.

nothing wrong with snapback hats. They are the cool thing these days.

only down three of our starters. I can’t believe this team can’t win with 60% of its starting lineup out, must be because Smith is a terrible coach. /s

that seems like a good idea assuming Apo knows what he is doing.

Meh… no clue if he knows how to train. He was a massive disappointment at TSPP, and IIRC he isn’t on good terms with them.
The only thing that would make this a good hire is if he has a good relationship with recruits we want that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to get.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Keba Keita draft prospects. in the forum Basketball (Men) 11 months, 3 weeks ago
Wingspan is not a reliable indicator of “the vertical element” either. Standing reach is better (height plus arm length rather than just arm length). A 6!ft 8 guy with a 7 ft 4 wingspan is not going to be able to reach as high as a 7 ft guy with the same wingspan.
Where are you getting those numbers for keita?

For an NBA player his athleticism is average or less.
