lol no! Don’t do this again please. We have possibly healthy Rising, and nobody proven behind him. I believe Wilson will be a top 5 all time Ute QB, but he hasn’t proven anything yet.

wow… some of you guys are seriously panzies. Smith is an excellent coach. We had a bad game. That happens in basketball, especially on the road.
This team and this coach are going places.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic I want WRs that can catch passes and get open in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago
I don’t disagree at all. When I said, “our last WR’s” I was referring to the most recent transfers to Utah (Pittman and more specifically Simmons).
I agree with 2008 that it can’t be a coincidence. Catching a ball is a funny thing. If you know the ball is coming to you, and you are calm, it isn’t hard to catch something. If you aren’t expecting…[Read more]

I don’t care about measurables. I don’t care about potential. I would rather have the JC WR that produced well than the 4 star recruit that is transferring from a big-time program because of lack of PT. Of course.
We need WRs that can catch a football. Our last WR transfers (and so many Ute WRs before them) could not do this.

Hopefully Jake Wahlin pans out. He was a fairly highly rated prospect. If he can improve over the offseason like our other bigs under this staff have, he will be a good player for us. I have no idea what his play style is. He could either be a replacement for BC, or a replacement for Bajema depending on whether or not he projects as a wing or a PF.

Ashton Jeanty would be great!

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Jonah Elliss Declares for NFL Draft in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago
I’m not worried. Ellis improved a ton to get where he is now. I’m confident other guys can make similar improvements.
These NFL draft declarations and portal transfers were bound to happen when our everyone and their dog came back last year. That is why I prefer for guys to move on when they are ready, make room for new guys to have an impact.

The only ranking that matters is NET. The others can all get bent… none of it means anything at the moment anyway.

Smith deserves a ton of credit for how the team has grown. My understanding is that Burgess deserves a ton of that credit as well.
After last season I said that this team would be tourney bound if they got more shooting, more depth, and the guys currently on the team took strong steps forward. Smith has made each of those things happen.
We added…[Read more]

Where was it confirmed that exacte was suspended? I thought they were calling it an injury.

I think all of the guys getting minutes have the potential to be valuable contributors. Bajema has been huge for us in some games. Erickson at least has the ability to come in and not be terrible. He is at least as good as brenchley.

We are good. We have everything we didn’t have last year. We have someone who fills virtually every role on a basketball team.
distributor – Worster, Smith
Dribble drive guy – Smith
shooter – Carlson, Madsen, and others
post up – Carlson, Keita, Lovering
rim runners – Carlson, Keita
clean up guy – Keita (extremely good cleanup guy)
shot blockers…[Read more] -

yeah… finally got a chance to watch a complete game. He is a monster. Glad to see he has a decent looking shot as well. He is the most physically gifted player we’ve had since Poeltl. He had one block where his head was as high as the rim (didn’t count because of a foul).
Side note: CBB officiating still sucks ballsack. The rules themselves are…[Read more]

I will ask you like I asked everyone else. Who the hell else were they supposed to play that would have been a better option?

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Ludwig didn't call a great game, but this is 90% Barnes' fault in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago
He did open the playbook, and Barnes threw picks each time when they should have been big gains or touchdowns. He could have called a better game, but he wasn’t the reason we lost. Not even close.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Ludwig didn't call a great game, but this is 90% Barnes' fault in the forum Football 1 year, 2 months ago
That just isn’t true. Rising has improved in his time here, as has Barnes, as did Huntley.
Again, who else were they supposed to play other than Barnes???
The coaches deserve blame for not recruiting better QBs to back up Rising. Ludwig deserves some blame for predictable playcalling, but he called enough good plays to win the game by two…[Read more]

Well, what is the point in blaming Barnes? He’s moving on. Whitt is focused on making his players better. Barnes is no longer his player.
