You are correct, not sure why I thought he was a post player. However, tge problem is the same. Is he going to get minutes over Madsen, Bajema, exacte and others? It’s possible, but I don’t see it.

If Kuithe isn’t coming back, don’t expect getting Cam back to make us anywhere close to as good offensively as last year. Without Kuithe we don’t have anyone that can reliably get open and catch the football. Vele has always been talked up by the staff, but he’s never been anywhere near as good as a WR1 should be. He isn’t the problem. He’s fine,…[Read more]

I love that BYU fans are focusing their future hopes on Whitt retiring. I especially love that they think our recruiting hinges on Whitt’s presence. Yes, his presence is a plus, but Whitt is much closer to being our worst recruiter than our best. He has a damn good eye for talent, but that has nothing to do with us getting instate recruits over…[Read more]

Unless someone gets hurt, Tarlac won’t be playing much. We have Carlson, the Colorado transfer, Carlson jr, and Keita… When is Tarlac supposed to play?

We don’t have any real stars on this team (BC is close, but not really a star IMO), but we do have quite a bit more depth than previous years. We also have at least 3 guys that can knock down…[Read more]

Utah has been doing a much better job lately of holding onto the instate talent. This kid has the right build to be an excellent safety or linebacker. I guess he was a multi-sport athlete. Seems like the next guy in the Weddle/Hansen/Bishop mold (along with Ritchie hopefully).

I was really happy with recruiting until the turkish kid got dinged with an NCAA violation. He was going to be good IMO.

I would not be super surprised to see this team in the mix for a tourney spot. Last year we were right there until all of our best guys got hurt. This year we have the same best guys, plus quite a bit more depth than last year,…[Read more]

Is he a good option? Not sure. He might be the best option we have at the moment, but I wouldn’t say good.

  • Yes, Whitt screwed the pooch in hanging all his hopes on Rising and Kuithe returning. He should have seen the writing on the wall and moved on from them. I get why he did it, but in hindsight, it was the wrong choice.

HOWEVER, this team is FOUR AND ONE(!) against the best OOC schedule we’ve had in years (if not ever) and two good Pac teams. The…[Read more]

good heavens dude. Whitt is not the problem. Our offense was very good last year and the year before. The problem is a lack of players. Not just a lack of talented players, I mean a lack of bodies that are physically capable of playing the game of football.

I agree with you about the injuries. I have no problem with how this season is going. The only thing I have a problem with is the Coaches relying on Cam miraculously returning from injury to carry our offense.

Hell, even the idea of them relying on Jackson to carry the running game is silly… Much less so, but still.

Cam should not have been…[Read more]

  • I’m not asking for Slovis. I’m asking for someone with any confidence throwing a football and running an offense. We don’t have that right now. If the coaches thought Barnes was that guy, they need to be civilly committed.

  • Don’t know their names, and don’t care.

The older one is racist: butchered polynesian names left and right (not racist, just lazy), did not apologize. Butchers a white players name, apologizes, then immediately whines about having to learn how to pronounce poly names. He also called Whitt Willingham. Why is that still a thing?

    The other guy…[Read more]

  • 127 downvotes in one thread for disagreeing with OnlyU. I dare you to find a thread where someone has received more downvotes. Also, keep in mind this was in MAY when NOBODY is around here. If I had done the same thing during football season the downvotes would have been tripled.

  • ROFL, he probably thinks the team is cursed.

  • in Cam’s case he is choosing to not play while getting paid a ton of money. It’s hard to say how good Rose was when we don’t know how much better he was than Johnson or Barnes. He may very well be, but to not have an experienced option when they had to have known Cam would miss at least 4 games is a coaching travesty.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Crap in the forum Football 1 year ago

McDonald was a terrible judge of talent. Outside of Ty Jordan (I’m just assuming McDonald recruited him) all of the running backs he’s recruited have been massively overrated.

  • chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Crap in the forum Football 1 year ago

Ludwig’s coaching isn’t the issue with the offense. Injuries, and an over-reliance on Cam is the problem.

NJ played a decent game. There were several first-down throws dropped, and a TD got called back for a false start (maybe not called back, but we would have scored). WRs got their hands on balls, and did not catch them. OSU’s receivers caught…[Read more]

  • He threw as good as DJU (not saying a whole lot bc DJU sucks ballsack). The baffling thing was his refusal to just take off and run the damn ball.

  • LOL… So true. The injuries have been brutal. However, I was mostly referring to the offseason QB situation.
