True. They’ve played two bad teams so far. Think they’ll have 3 losses at least by the time they get to us, more if they have injury issues.

If it means we beat the shit out of Colorado. I’m already tired of their schtick.

Had a pretty bad game if you believe Scott Mitchell and Bill Riley

Not surprising at all. They’ve raised a great young man! Such a humble, hardworking kid that has been through sooooo so much. I’ve never been happier to see someone succeed.

It is absolutely, 100% clear that Nate is the QB behind Rising going forward. The difference his presence made with the entire offense was obvious, just like when Cam came in for Brewer against SDSU.
Mikey Mathews had a great 4th quarter. He’s the best WR recruit we’ve had since Covey.
Every one of Jackson’s yards was hard earned. What a beast…[Read more]

I don’t know. Vaughn screwed up once. Battle screwed up once or twice as well. I can forgive a CB for making one mistake. It’s not an easy job.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Who do you want to lead you when you're behind? in the forum Football 1 year, 6 months ago
You give the next opportunity to Nate. If Nate isn’t getting the job done, you move on to the next guy, whether that is Barnes or someone else.

that is awesome! Thanks for representing the Utes well!
135? Holy ballsack that is hot. No wonder the big boys in the trenches were struggling to react on time.

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Please, no more Barnes. in the forum Football 1 year, 6 months ago
Scott Mitchell said that Barnes was hesitating on everything he did. That is a recipe for disaster at QB. Throws timing off, results in missed throws, sacks, and picks.

Barnes has been bad outside of one throw this season. Something strange about him man. It’s like he has one great throw in him per season.

F for Barnes
F- for Mokofisi
Take those two out of the game and we would have had the game in the bag at the end of the third quarter

You are both right. Maybe Barnes has been clearly better in practice, but if that was the case, why keep putting Nate in? Seems like the coaches weren’t sure, so they went with both until Barnes showed that he didn’t have what it takes mentally to get it done. The plays were there for him to make, and he didn’t make them.

Elephant in the room: The two QB system has once again been proven to be a mistake. It was unfair to both Barnes and Nate (and the rest of the team) to switch those guys in and out like that. Pick a guy and go with them until it is apparent they aren’t the guy, then put the other guy in and live with it.
Coaching: terrible first-half coaching,…[Read more]

Knowing Whitt, it’s probably more about kindness than ego. He just wants to give the older guys a shot because he feels like he owes it to them. That’s my guess. Maybe he doesn’t think that consciously, but deep down I’m sure it’s something like that.

totally agree. Last season, Glover looked good but the second he was touched he toppled like a house of cards. He’s supposedly improved this year, so we’ll see this weekend I guess. I would also love to see Curry get a shot. He looked like potentially our best back last year until he got hurt.

Not sure why you posted this here. His injury had nothing to do with anything the team did (assuming those who poster here are correct). It was a non-football injury.

IOW, you don’t disagree with me, you just don’t know what necessary means.
A necessary condition is something that must happen in order for something else to happen. If the necessary thing does not happen, the other thing cannot happen. Bernard is a nice piece. He helps our team. He might be a sufficient condition to success, but he isn’t a…[Read more]
