CityCreekUte replied to the topic After 20 years of success, this is Whit's first failure of a season in the forum Football 12 hours, 42 minutes ago
Fire Harlan before Whitt. Whitt has generally been a high floor low ceiling. This is the first year of completely epic futility including the initial pac12 years where talent wise we were pretty far behind.
Harlan is the one who fucked up the conference stuff. He’s not doing anything special with any particular sport. Hell just lost the…[Read more]

We won’t recover next year because Ludwig is gone and nobody is going to sign on to the OC coaching carousel. Ludwig being around was something they could at least sell to kids especially after Huntley and Rising were doing things.
Now.. Ugh.

Ok but let’s just look back. He’s played in all the games now.
So does he look better?
I don’t think so. I think he looks worse. Defenses gave him credit for things that now they know he can’t do.

Exactly.
His Alma mater at FSU. If he wants it it’s his but it’s ACC for now so maybe..
He wants Florida?
I still think U$C is a natural fit for him.
The list is long and Colorado is not even on the last page.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Proof the Big 12 sucks and how the new P12 might not now be worse: in the forum Football 1 week, 3 days ago
The conference being granted a automatic bid to the playoffs isn’t very appealing to me. I’d rather be in the PAC12 and if we weren’t ranked high enough not get in. Over the years there were very few times that ended up hurting us and that was a 4 team playoff. With 12 teams the need for an automatic bid is nil. It’s just for seeding purposes. I…[Read more]

4 B1G 4 SEC 1 BIG12 1 ACC ND and G5. Thanks but I’m fucking done with college football if that’s where we live.
I’ll live with approximately
3 SEC
3 B1G
2 BIG 12
2 ACC 1 G5 and 1 Whatever year in and year out but fuck no to the rest.I’ve probably watched 150 less hours of CFB this year because 1) utah sucks and 2) big12 games are both not…[Read more]

umm prove that we have statistically more injuries across the team and that you’re not just noticing it more because you pay attention to Utah and not the 130 other programs.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic What's our record if the pig farmer stays and is QB2 in the forum Football 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I agree. Barnes was able to beat get something out of the offense. JJ was chronically injured last year so it’s not like our RB room was any better and we had far less talent at the other skill positions. He played much tougher games to this point in the season. This season is purely abysmal from a SOS standpoint which makes the losses even more absurd.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic We strayed from the K-Whitt formula in 2017 and went 7-6 in the forum Football 3 weeks, 2 days ago
It’s not MB fault that we don’t have other backs on the roster that can compliment him / carry some of the load. You can’t blame an airplane for not being a truck it just doesn’t work that way. He has done exceptionally well this year given that defenses are stacked against him, and he’s being asked to run a lot of times in a style that isn’t…[Read more]

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Freshman QBs in the forum Football 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I don’t see the physical tools in Wilson that I saw in a Jayden Daniels or Cam Ward. Both of them had a lot more raw physical gifts in terms of arm strength/talent and mobility. In Wilson I see a kid who has grown up being spoon fed the QB position and I’m not convinced his ceiling is all that high.

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Head Coach Kyle Whittingham Utah Football Press Conference – 10.21.24 in the forum Football 1 month ago
To the extent that Whittingham stays on as an assistant can/will help with recruiting it’s worth keeping him around the program. Much like having a Dennis Erickson around helped bring in us players from Miami/Florida that I’m pretty damn sure weren’t coming otherwise. And then once he is no longer the face of the program on the sidelines in press…[Read more]

CityCreekUte replied to the topic Why isn't Harding taking heat like Lud was? in the forum Football 1 month ago
It would be nice to know more about how the protections are called and shifted. I think the players are solid and since we generally have had good run game you can’t really say the OLine is all bad.
But against defenses shifting and blitzing that seems to be a shit show in terms of assignment although I agree with those who are putting a big…[Read more]

I don’t agree at all with the take on the offensive side. Outside of Kuithe who I do think has lost a step I don’t think we’re lacking at all. Singer & Parks are solid. Singer in fact to me is one of those “always open” guys and we just don’t throw him the ball nearly enough.
