ParticipantHouston wasn’t that bad. Dana Holgorsen didn’t run them into the ground.

ParticipantExcluding 2020, Utah has lost four or more games in 14/19 years with Whittingham as the coach. That means more than 70% of the time he’s buying bonds in a high interest rate environment and losing money in the short-term, too! 😂🤣

ParticipantDo we believe anything Whittingham says at this point?

ParticipantMike, is that you? You sure have some firsthand insight into his relationship with IW and what he plans to do with in-game adjustments and play calling based on multiple spirited posts, I might need to assume you’re actually Mike Bajakian. 😂 Jokes aside, I don’t think anyone has insinuated hiring a permanent OC or implementing an entirely new offensive concept this season by discussing his performance at Northwestern. This is a forum site, we talk about information and opinions. The next permanent OC will be hired by Scalley. I think we’re all on the same page in that we are relieved Ludwig stepped down and that we are all rooting for Bajakian to succeed in the remaining games.

ParticipantUSC/UCLA is a great example because they both have great WBB/softball. The other examples aren’t consistently competitive in the main sports, IMO.

ParticipantAre any of those programs going to likely build a statue for their coach and or have had them employed for 20+ years with average results? Three conference titles and one meaningful bowl win in 20 years might be below average, honestly. Throw in UNLV, Colorado State and Air Force to your response because Whittingham only had one conference title in the MWC. That narrative is an excuse for Whittingham and I just don’t get it. Very frustrating.

ParticipantHe is the current OC for the season. I hope he kicks ass. Regardless, those are facts. Wasn’t meant to be positive or negative… just creating conversation.

ParticipantDefinitely not new to Utah sports. Season ticket holder to FB and MBB since 1990.
It’s still on Harlan. Was it a mistake for Hill to extended LK? Yes and no. LK had some success. But when it comes to business, there is “no point of no return” — and many ADs clean house when they come in to get coaches that they want. Right or wrong, that’s a fact. Harlan is a noodle

ParticipantComparing Utah to New Mexico is absolutely comical unless we’re talking about basketball.
