Vegas set their win total at 3.5, they were only returning 2 starters on defense, and needed to replace 4 of 5 starters on the OLine. That doesn’t mean Holgerson ran them into the ground but they also weren’t a team primed for the next coach to get them back to respectable right away.

I don’t know why Utah is having so many injuries after spending the late 2010’s seemingly with no injuries to key players, especially on defense. It might not even have anything to do with the S&C since the gymnasts seemed to go through a period where they’d lose a couple of girls every year to Achilles tears.

The NCAA has the power, or at least had the power, to enforce any of its rules against member schools of which USC was one. The California Legislature didn’t revoke any football titles from SC for breaking NCAA rules.
