24 would have been enough to win a lot of weeks. This was one where 24 was irrelevant

I expect half the team to be gone in the portal (or run out of eligibility) no matter how this season finishes. Glover/Lyons/Pittman were just the first of many.

Wasn’t Lohner in on that first drive sack? Pretty sure they were trying to set up a pick play to get him open

After Harlan lost the narrative last week and went on the field before the game was over, he should be the first one out the door. And if it means everyone under him needs to follow, so be it. Because the benefit of the doubt was lost for all of the “responsible” parties involved a long time ago.

Defense gave you the ball at their 21 and 23 in the first half. 14 total yards on 11 plays and 2 FG’s out of that.

Little Jordan Wynn was much more prepared to go as a true freshman. I feel confident that Huntley could have gone in 2016 if needed. Didn’t Travis Wilson get forced into action as a true freshman?
People need to stop apologizing for Wilson. This is the same kid that most were convinced was not only going to put up 3 stellar years before going…[Read more]

The only reason to have an AD is so that there is someone who can recognize that the Head Coach is no longer effective in his job. If the goal of this season or any future is so that Whitt can go out on top, be prepared for more seasons like 2024. Because a below .500 record is now probably more likely than him winning a conference championship.

Utah might not win another game this season
Shocking I know, but definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Keep in mind that Utah just got outplayed (and Whitt got outcoached) by two middle-bottom programs in the Big XII. Now TCU comes to town and while their defense isn’t that great, they can certainly move the ball and have victories o…[Read more]

Both Utah TD’s in the 2nd half count as garbage time scores. We’ll see what the offense really looks like if they get the ball here at midfield.

At least when the 2012-13 versions were losing, we knew that it was because they were overmatched. But at least they outplayed their perceived talent/depth issues.

I don’t have an opinion one way or the other on the shoes but Lisfranc isn’t a common injury. To have two in two years could be an anomaly or an indication. But it is also the one injury that could point directly to footwear.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic The Ute football program nees to be rebuilt. in the forum Football 1 week, 1 day ago
There just isn’t any data on the effect of an extremely long tenured Head Coach stepping down and the trajectory of the program after. Tom Osbourne, Joe Paterno & Bobby Bowden are probably the only 3 this century that would qualify and Nick Saban is happening in real time. Frank Solich and Jimbo Fisher were able to have success almost…[Read more]

Have we had a Dallen Engemann sighting? After him you’re pretty much having to press kids who played QB in HS to run scout team and learn break glass in case of emergency packages.

Add in Arizona. It was plenty loud until Fifita tossed a couple of daggers to effectively end the game. Fan support has not been the issue which is why it’s so strange that people bring it up.
If there’s a problem getting people into their seats, or them leaving before the final whistle, start looking at logistics and game times before blaming…[Read more]

That’s a pretty good ceiling. Only takes a couple of opportune breaks to go your way to turn that into 11-1.
