2008 National Champ replied to the topic Michigan fans right now in the forum Football 5 months, 2 weeks ago
I’m not usually a fan of taking away victories since no one ever notices when they do it years later. But vacating the national championship before they can hang a banner might actually be a punishment that works.
The show-cause penalty against Harbaugh doesn’t matter any more than it did against Chip Kelly. Assuming he ever wants another…[Read more]

9-3.
Too many new faces this year against too many new opponents. Oklahoma State comes before the team will truly have built it’s own identity (loss 1).
I’ve been banging the UCF drum since the schedule came out. That trip on a short holiday week against a team that would love to knock Utah out of a potential Conference Championship and…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Will we have/need/want a RB1 or go with a committee? Who will lead? in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
on his HUDL, Andrews pulls away from DB’s so he has plenty of speed. Not sure if he has the quick cut ability that Vaki showed last year but he could potentially have the same size/speed type of game that Booker did.
Of course, it doesn’t say much for the 2023 class of 4 stars if a guy recruited to play LB gets moved over and takes reps from those 3.

Interesting. Andrews at LB didn’t last long

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Pick 6 Prediction in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
yep, go with a linebacker given the lack of picks by corners other than Clark Phillips since 2020.
Barton or Reid undercutting a flat route is a pretty safe choice

just google harold carmichael and it will look the same against any CB. of course, lohner’s got a long way to go before he can be compared to carmichael in anything but height

I had the same problem when I was his age where I couldn’t put enough calories into my body to keep up with my metabolism. If you can imagine being 6’1 and trying to wrestle at 122 as a freshman in High School – never had to worry about making weight.,,
There was another kid a couple of years ago (Wegis?) who had a lot of talent but just…[Read more]

I don’t think that suit is over yet. The NFL won their appeal but I believe the other side will file their own appeal. Not sure if it goes to the Supreme Court but it’s not done.

If Dillon’s listed weight is correct, he’s probably a year away from serious consideration for playing time.

I’m not Dabo but as someone who walked on, I agree with his sentiment. Cutting the rosters down to 105 does nothing more than take chances away from 20 kids every year (I believe the roster max is currently 125). And these are kids who were/are willing to pay their own way to school and endure everything that goes along with being part of the…[Read more]

got it. Utah will improve everywhere you want them to but the teams they play this year will be exactly the same as 2023.

special teams gave up a 14-19-208-2 passing line to an average QB? or 260 yards on the ground?

I haven’t read the full proposal. Are you saying that walk-ons, if over the 105 roster limit will not be allowed?

They weren’t playing 1980’s option football in 2023.
The PAC was top heavy with 6 of the top 16 passing offenses and then the next best being Oregon State at 51. The Big-12 had 4 of the top 25 and it’s 7th was Iowa State at 49. If you drop to Stanford at 57 (8th Pac) you get 3 more Big 12’s in Houston, Kansas and Kansas State (52, 53,…[Read more]

oh, those traditions and rivalries are already gone. it’s just taken us a long time to realize that they only really mattered to us.
It started with the breakup of the SouthWest Conference and Penn State joining the Big 11 but that only affected a couple of fanbases so the rest of us ignored it. Once the Big East became a revolving door of…[Read more]
