Two more years after this season. Harlan gave him a six year deal when he left Utah State.

It’s a two way street, I have no problem someone following their self-interest, just don’t expect me to like it.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Curious about how many plan to watch the CFP this weekend in the forum Football 2 weeks, 2 days ago
It would be weird if the Utes were playing and people would say that they weren’t interested in watching. It’s not weird to say that you’re not going to watch teams that you don’t care anything about. I’m a fan of Utah, not the sport in general.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Zurbrugg commits in the forum Football 2 weeks, 2 days ago
All I have to say is that I hope he contributes more to the program than Tommy Grady and Kendal Thompson, the last two QBs that transferred from Oklahoma to Utah. The more legit P4 QBs in a QB room, the better. His presence surely can’t hurt.

Yes, and that’s why I’ve been saying for a while that all of these additions/commitments don’t mean jack until the players are suited up for the first game of the season. You could have a player have a great Spring camp, be seduced by another team, enter the April Portal, and never actually play a down for the Utes. More fool us if we don’t…[Read more]

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Who is your dark horse pick to win the NC? in the forum Football 2 weeks, 3 days ago
Hard to see ASU as a potential NC pick. I believe that team has plenty of holes which, given the amount of time between the end of the regular season and their actual game, opponents with superior personnel can exploit. If, for example, the Sun Devils draw Texas as their next opponent, I can easily see a blowout going Texas’ way.

I agree. Also, for me, I’m just damned tired of the Dolphins putting out a substandard product season after season. I have better things to do than devote time to a team that’s a perennial underachiever.

It depends what the degree is, doesn’t it? I’m not sure an Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Cal would trump, say an Engineering degree from Utah. A lot of those athletes going to elite academic universities only get in because they’re athletes and only graduate because there are degrees available that really aren’t that intellectually demanding.

Eagle, I’m out of town and will only watch whatever games are on prime time due to my schedule. That being said, I might not watch any since I don’t have any rooting interest. Same goes for the NFL playoffs.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Wayshawn parker cancels USC and UCLA visits in the forum Football 2 weeks, 4 days ago
USC has more NIL money but UCLA is flat broke and has to pay Cal $30M over the next three years due to their departure to the B1G. That being said, my comment was specifically focused on the differences between Utah and Arizona, seeing as both USC and UCLA are now out of the picture. If both LA schools were still in the picture, then I’d give…[Read more]

Should come down to money, shouldn’t it? Hard to believe that Zona, with all of their financial issues, has much to throw around. I’m sure that Zona will focus on the college life aspects of going to the school, where, in my opinion, they have an advantage over Utah.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Cam Calhoun to Bama in the forum Football 2 weeks, 4 days ago
There are probably some guys that want that. However, I’d also bet that there are guys that are fine with perpetual free agency. The vast majority of the P4 football players, at this point, are surely not “in the game” for the education.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Alabama AD tells Tide fans to 'fight back,' help fund NIL in the forum Football 2 weeks, 4 days ago
Believe me, no one is crying for Alabama except for Alabama. They’re just pissed that the stasis has changed and they no longer hold all of the cards. If the name of the game now is money, and it is, the only advantage that schools in poor states like Alabama have is the money they receive from the networks. For example, the Boulevard…[Read more]

Looks like the Tide is starting to feel the heat. The thing is that Alabama is one of the poorest states in the nation. It’s one thing to root for the Tide/buy tickets to games, etc… and quite another to straight up give money to athletes.

That’s a good idea Charlie. You have to wonder how much practice, if any, the MBB does on their FTs.

How many missed dunks took place last night. If I remember correctly, Aiden, Lovering, and Wahlin also had at least one.
