I don’t know…there might be a big crowd for the game. I just paid $20 for a ticket in the 1st row and courtside tickets are only $40.

Make it make sense? Virginia finished in 3rd place in the ACC during the regular season, won 23 games (including five away conference games), and lost a close ACC Tournament champioship game to NC State. Even with all of that, they just barely got in.

Are you sure? I have season tickets and can’t recall the last time that the Upper Bowl curtains were present. I distinctly remember them being down for BYU, UCLA, Arizona, and Oregon at the very least…

The curtains have been down during the PAC schedule.

Well, I’ll be there for those games. If nothing else, the prices are right ($20 for Lower Bowl and $40 for courtside).

From everything I’ve read, Arizona, Wazzu, and Colorado are locks to make the tournament. So yes, If the Ducks win today, the PAC should have four teams in the Dance.

The Utes were also the worst free throw shooting team in the entire PAC 12. If they would have just been mediocre instead of plain bad, they would have easily won at least three or four more conference games and made the tournament without drawing sweat. They really have only themselves to blame for the situation they find themselves in.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic Why can’t we find a coach in the forum Basketball (Men) 11 months, 2 weeks ago
Why did we bring in Smith if he wasn’t a good recruiter ?
Because he was the “easy button” for Harlan. Do you recall how that “coaching search” went? Well, if I remember correctly, there really wasn’t one. Krystkowiak hadn’t even cleared out his office and Smith had already been announced as the head coach. I don’t know where this program c…[Read more]

Sometimes I get the feeling that Smith couldn’t hit a cow’s ass with a banjo. He’s too one-dimensional and tends to play out of control at times. Simpson has an NBA career waiting for him, while Smith will have to go overseas if he wants to play basketball professionally.

Smith and Madsen must be playing the slots at Caesars. Anybody seen them tonight?

He’s missed a lot of layups this season. That’s for sure.

The Miami Ute replied to the topic NOT EXACTLY ROAD GAME DAY!!!!!!! Part 2 in the forum Basketball (Men) 11 months, 2 weeks ago
Well, I did some research and the vast majority of the tournament pundits don’t even have Utah on their radar any more. That essentially means that the Utes would have to win the Pac 12 tournament to make it to the dance. Those losses to ASU at home and Oregon State in Corvallis really put them on life support.

If the Utes win tonight, I give them a 50/50 chance to get to the dance. Win versus the winner of Wazzu vs Stanford and, I think, those odds go to around 80 percent. One game at a time, Sweet Jesus…

Yes, Johnson missed the entire 2006 season after getting hurt late in the 2005 season in a home loss to New Mexico. I’m sure that you remember that game. Anyways, you have to think that, if the football season started next week, both Cam and Johnson would have been able to go.

That’s the word I’ve used to describe them. I’ve never seen a team look so bad and so good in the same season against the same opposition. Best thing you could say is that they’re playing in a bracket where they’ve already beaten any of the teams that they might play.

If the Utes beat both of Colorado and Wazzu, then they’re in…they might even be in with just a victory over Colorado. I will say that Utah is fortunate that they’re on the side of the tournament because they can definitely beat both Wazzu and Colorado.

Believe it or not, with tonight’s 90-57 demolition of the Sun Devils, Utah just tied the record for the largest margin of victory in the PAC 12 Tournament. In fact, if it wasn’t for two free throws by bad ASU free throw shooter in the waning seconds of the game, Utah would have set the record. I’m only speaking for myself, but tonight was a…[Read more]

It’s what, 14 months since he had his surgery? If he’s not 100 percent now, he’s never going to be.
