Coach Whitt totally understands the TDS fan base. With them, and most fan bases when it comes to their rivals, it doesn’t matter what he says. Any comment that Whitt makes, good, bad, or even if it is not about them at all, will be taken as a slap in the face.

I know that everyone must be dying to know the answer.
The last season where the Utes ended with an overall sub .500 record was 1903. That year the University of Utah had three wins verses the 12th infantry, Fort Douglas, and Ogden High School. Also according to the record books the University of Utah is 0-2 against the YMCA. I hate those…[Read more]

Not a bad guess.
FYI the lowest the record dropped in the 80’s-90’s was in 1992 at 466-354-32 (.568)
And yes, for the TDS it was in the early 80’s

What was the last year that the Utes, at the end of the season, had an overall (all games ever played) losing record (below .500)?
Currenty the Utes are at 689-465-32 (.597), that ranks 29th in the country

Yes you can have more than one player moving in a shift, but all 11 must be set before the player in motions starts.
A shift is different than a motion. Shift is when one or more players move from one position to another. Any player can shift regardless of their position, even the center can shift as long as he is not holding the ball.

Hans is incorrect about the rule. Fatheringham was set before the snap but Simpkins motion started before he was set. My understanding of the rule is that the shift needs to be completed and set before the motion starts. Or if more than one player is in a shift/motion then they all need to be set before the snap.
