I agree, no let down, but I don’t think we will see another blowout. Cal’s offensive strengths are much different than Oregon. Their accurate quarterback (understatement) and talented receivers are a whole different problem for this defense to deal with. I think Oregon’s offense was especially susceptible to a dominating interior D-line.

Wow, thanks for putting in the time to put that together. Good stuff. I had never noticed the pulling guard on Booker’s touchdown throw. They really went all in to sell the run there, and it worked.

Just think how good Travis Wilson would be if he didn’t have to cart those huge brass balls everywhere.

This is a really good breakdown of what we need to see. I would only add getting a strong push from the d-line. I think that was MSU’s biggest advantage on D. Their d-line, including interior , were getting so much push it consistently disrupted the beginning of every run play.

I was really disappointed with the scheduling agreement between the PAC12 and BIG10 fell through because I thought it was the perfect setup for out of conference scheduling. 1 game with a medium to great P-5 team and then 2 games with G5, usually with one being a local team.

I’m not sure there is even a question based on the samples we have seen this year. It seems relatively obvious that TW improved during the off season. He is checking plays, looking to multiple options, and just seems more confident in the pocket. If he is healthy enough, there is a great deal of separation between the 2.
