We have a QB that isn’t going to make the crucial mistakes, unlike past senior QBs.

Ghost of the HEB started the topic Joining the AAU could eventually be huge for Utah Athletics in the forum Football 5 years ago
Nobody knows what will happen in the not so far off conference realignment period. Things may remain mostly the same, or schools may join together and create super conferences. If this happens, some P5’s may find themselves not being P5 anymore. Seeing as how the school presidents are the ultimate decision makers when it comes to conference a…[Read more]

Jaylon Johnson held it down in coverage yet AGAIN this week. pic.twitter.com/2xCmIKkDlC
— PFF College (@PFF_College) November 4, 2019Eason attempted 52 passes, and only THREE of those attempts were directed at Jaylon’s receiver. Eason was 0/3 on those attempts, and Jaylon turned one into a pick-six. That is pure unadulterated dominance. When a…[Read more]

A game like that is a helluva time to throw him in for his first action. He sure does pass the eye test, though. Dude was the biggest player on the field and has the body of an all-pro nfl OT. Just looks a bit raw.

Ghost of the HEB started the topic The kicking game in the forum Football 5 years ago
This is the first time I can remember feeling terrified of having to rely on our FG kickers to help win a game, like Oregon did vs Wazzu. That FG attempt by Redding vs Cal wasn’t even close. After the kick, the cameras showed a bit of Whitt’s interaction with him, and it’s safe to say Whitt was not extending warm wishes. I’m surprised nobody…[Read more]

Ghost of the HEB replied to the topic Is it too much to ask for a 2015 Oregon type of game this Sat? in the forum Football 5 years ago
True, but the Trojans are also a much different team at home vs on the road. I’d be much more confident in an SC loss if the game as at Autzen.

Ghost of the HEB started the topic Dennis Dodd wrote about the 7 likely playoff “crashers” in the forum Football 5 years ago
Utah is included, but he says their only shot is to “win out and.. pray”. It shows Utah’s SOS at 91st, which is well below every other team mentioned.
Thanks for the stellar OOC schedule this season, Chris Hill. Scheduling TDS as the A game is really paying off. -
Ghost of the HEB replied to the topic Kuithe Injury? in the forum Football 5 years ago
He tweaked his back in practice, but was ready to go come game time. That hit he took re-aggravated the injury. He’s mostly sitting out of practice until Wednesday or Thursday to rest the injury. Shouldn’t keep him out of UW.

Ghost of the HEB started the topic Coaching will be the difference maker this week in the forum Football 5 years ago
Peterson and the UW staff undoubtedly watched and dissected every second of the Utah Cal game. They’ve undoubtedly spent the bye week dissecting each pac 12 game the Utes have played thus far. They’ve watched each offensive lineman to find their individual weaknesses. They’ve watched each receiver to find which to press and which to not. They’…[Read more]

Ghost of the HEB started the topic The three games this season that grind my gears the most in the forum Football 5 years ago
First came the Oregon Auburn game. So much was made about the Pac-12 needing Oregon to win that game for conference perception. Oregon looked like the better team, then choked it away at the end. That game alone still has Auburn ranked above Utah and Oregon.
Second: Utah USC game. No explanation needed.
Third: That Colorado choke job we witnessed…[Read more] -

Ghost of the HEB replied to the topic ESPN: How Utah can lose to CAL in the forum Football 5 years ago
That’s actually my biggest worry. Cal beat Washington because they turned it into a defensive slugfest. In my view, a defensive slugfest just means that the game will be close at the end and there’s more injury potential, and the possibility of an inexplicable loss. I want no part of that. I’ll take Utah to cover, and starters out by the 4th,…[Read more]
