When you say “if Whitt knew…” I think you’re describing a hypothetical which isn’t relevant. I think the team doctors really did tell Whitt that Cam would be able to play this season, and he believed them.

I think he’d make a big difference just because of his ability to complete pre-snap reads of the defense and check out of plays.

He likely can’t run like he used to but everything else he still brings to the offense would be huge.

There was also a Twitter post yesterday saying Kyle had even mentioned Luke Botari as being in the mix for QB2 (Rose also mentioned) if Cam can’t go. I don’t know anything about him.

Agreed. It would have been interesting to see how many carries Vincent would have gotten against OSU if he didn’t immediately go out with an injury.

One running back is not enough though and I’m guessing they were going to give Vincent a handful of carries to rest Jaylon but that plan got blown up.

I think Cam comes back but is limited to a game manager type of role because of his injury. He’s capable of reading defenses, making the right call at the line and can do enough with his arm to keep defenses honest. We become run-heavy but not run-only.

Travis Wilson was a solid QB recruit whose potential was cut short by constant OC turnover. He still got a lot done for us though.

Not gonna lie, I really thought Barnes was going to score on his first drive. Then that stupid snap at his feet destroyed our momentum.

They certainly changed the landscape for us.

I’m still getting over my shock at Nate’s willingness to keep his eyes down field time after time. He stood in there for as long as possible every single time.
