It seems a little hypocritical of whomever gave me the thumbs down to be trying to stop the flow here.

I don’t think the beavers have enough length to compete with us on the edge, they all look very stubby. I’m sure they’ll try slapping at the ball with our receivers but we just can’t get startled. Their kicker looks really lazy as I swear he just hopes the wind does all the work.

Overall, I respect the beavers football program. They tried to be like the Ducks for a little while but I think they realized the dangers of getting over commercialized.

I guess I really don’t give a dam about beaver jokes. I just want to pelt those guys tonight.

I’ve heard about these sexual innuendos with OSU but have never heard them.

Maybe I’m just a little too long in the tooth to understand beaver puns.

I knew I was getting behind on the beaver jokes but I just logged on. It’s really been gnawing at me. Most of my beaver jokes are out of the main stream but you can always take them to the bank. I’ll work on getting my jokes in but don’t want to disrupt the flow for everyone.

At any rate, it will be nice to have Rose healthy in case Cam never makes it back and Nate gets banged up.

I’ve been trying to decide how many true RPO plays they’ve tried with Nate. Sometimes it looks like it could have been an RPO play and Nate just made his decision without reading the defense. Other times it looks like an RPO set but the play might have just been a designed run or keeper with no reading the defense.

As unlucky as we’ve been with injuries in the first part of the season, we’d need to be as equally lucky the rest of the season with getting everyone healthy to make this happen.

Bad luck happens in bunches though. Hopefully, we’ve already used all our bad luck up.

It’s now pretty clear that Nate is going to have turnover problems. He’s likely going to have a couple per game.

He’s exciting and has lots of potential. But if coaches have a chance to get Cam back, they have to pursue it as best they can.

Fans are wanting Kyle to get aggressive offensively by opening the playbook for Nate but I think Kyle’s version of being aggressive this year is investing in the possibility of Cam’s return.

Kyle knows he has perhaps his best defense ever and he wants a chance at pairing them with one of our best QBs ever.

I think part of a coaches job is to take calculated risks. Putting reps into Cam right now is a calculated risk which just hasn’t paid off yet.

I don’t see Kyle changing his strategy at this point though after getting this far into it – especially where we’re still winning with what he’s doing.

I watched the first half and it looks like USC is prone to making dumb mistakes. They could have had several turnovers from fumbles and interceptions but were lucky ASU defense couldn’t finish the plays.

That was so fun to watch. I don’t care what anyone says, our defense humiliated them. Those conference-wreckers can now slink away to the big 10 in shame.

It’s going to be a long season for fans who don’t love defense.

There’s not going to be any creativity or aggressiveness on offense until Kyle feels his defense can’t dominate a team. Until then, Ludwig will be doing nothing but game management play calling.

I just have a hard time believing that game was as good as Bryson can play and also that Kyle (ie the greatest coach in the history of college sports in Utah) thought that was good enough to give Bryson the starting position. Those two things don’t add up to me.
