If the team has quit, I don’t see any way we win this game. But if this team still has any pride and can rally around each other, anything could happen. We still have a lot of talent on this team.

If this team doesn’t come out focused and angry on Friday, then we have serious motivational issues. Arizona played angry and with a purpose last week coming off their embarrassment at Kansas State. We need to see this from our guys this weekend. Go Utes!!

#2 is what cost us the AZ game. We saw a lack of set plays for Wilson and a lack of running plays. We expected Wilson to pick apart their secondary using his reads, but he was being blitzed all game long. He clearly wasn’t ready and the receivers weren’t getting open.
If Wilson is the starter, he should be getting all the reps this week and running set plays that will get the ball out quick. Ludwig needs to be more creative after knowing Wilson’s limitations. If we do this, I think we win big at AZ State. Barnard will need to have a big game as well.

Wilson clearly is not ready and needs to be put back on the shelf. The play calling didn’t help. If Cam plays that game we win.
It was a little concerning to have him smiling and laughing with the other QB’s on the sideline, especially when it was apparent the game was lost.
I think this loss was a wakeup call to the team. I think they’ll right this ship and we’ll see a much better football team because of it. Especially if Cam returns for ASU fully healthy. Based on the other Big 12 games we saw today, we could very well win out.

If Cam plays, I’d say we win by a lot. Wilson may be a different story. Fafita is a much better quarterback than Bowman. Bowman completed around 50% of his passes, had two touchdowns and two picks. Wilson’s stats weren’t much better. If Fafita comes out and scores a few quick scores like what happened at Utah State, I’m not sure Wilson can bring us back based on what we saw in Stillwater.
I’m not sure if it was the hostile crowd, a better defense or the heat, but Wilson was off on Saturday. Even a lot of the completion throws were off and it took a few miraculous catches to real them in. I never got the sense that if OSU was up by a score or two that Wilson would be able to bring us back based on the way he was playing. Thank goodness for our defense.
Maybe if Wilson gets all the reps this week, he’ll have a much better outing. But Arizona can score quickly. Hopefully we’re ready.

I’m not sure our defense is better than last year even considering all the injuries. I underestimated the loss of our two stud safety’s from last year. USU had a lot of open receivers. We’re lucky Barnes sailed a lot of his deep throws.

That 4th quarter 10 run drive was invaluable for the development of the offensive line. I feel much better about our run game after that. Baylor had some dudes on that D-line.

You can say that again.

Arizona will have two weeks to think about this loss before they play us. They’ll be ready. It may have been better had they won and then let us bring them back down to earth. But their defense had some huge holes that I’m sure we’ll take advantage of.
