I haven’t seen anybody corroborate Rudy Carpenter’s claims on this and I wonder if he has all his facts straight.  When he tweeted about it late last week, I expected to start seeing some reporting on this.. but no.  All the stories I’ve seen, like this one by Karen somebody, are based solely on Rudy’s tweets.  Not necessarily saying he’s wrong, it’s just odd.

Wondering what it is about the Texas Bowl that has so many projections with us in there.  Is that based on some inside info or was it just a pile-on effect for a bunch of sportswriters.

Somebody should make the suggestion to Rocker and LA.  Sounds like they’re completely open to feedback on the UFN refresh.

Assuming we beat Cal/OSU, we will almost certainly play Oregon on Friday.  I think that’s the game we will need to win in order to have a shot at the tourney.

I think they were speaking more in terms of practicality/likelihood and SOS than mathematically.  Hey, if CU can really go 13-0 then hats off…and it’s the playoff for the Buffs. But that is highly unlikely.

The final score was close but Arizona ran all over and pretty much manhandled the Buffs. They looked horrible.

The number of fans interacting regularly on message boards constitutes a tiny percentage of the overall fanbase.  The more successful and active sites there are to fill the various niches, the better.  I know Tony himself has said on more than one occasion that a rising tide lifts all boats.

That said, UFN would obviously take some work to salvage.  Whether or not that particular site is part of the mix remains to be seen… but it’s great to have an array of forums out there. That fosters more fan involvement overall, and helps fuel passion for our athletic programs.
